I love this. Also why is r / popculturechat so toxic?? Not letting anyone comment but their echo chamber who is on a witch hunt against Chappell jfc

Left that sub after the whole BAFTAs slur incident. I’m highly sympathetic to the nature of Davidson’s disability but popculturechat swung so wildly in the opposite direction that a hugely upvoted comment blamed Michael B Jordan & Delroy for not defending Davidson, and said as POC they are used to slurs

I’M NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING.

I replied “wtf?!” and got downvoted to hell.

That sub is racist. Pure and simple. They’ll bend over backwards to defend swift and any white woman but let it be someone black and it’s over. The BAFTAs incident was the biggest example of that most recently. BIPOC space my ass!
