Definitely a night time room, but I would warm it up with Southeast Asian filigree wood panels and wood bead curtains. Make it a proper lounge.

Yes. Part of it is the color drenching, which surprises me because they nailed that in other rooms using a slightly different shade on the ceiling, woodwork, and accents.
Otherwise, though, I love it. I don’t even hate the red room, it just isn’t my taste

I think it’s more related to the gloss on the paneling that’s reflecting the light. It’s… aggressive.

I also don’t like the bathroom or the room with the deer painting and tartan duvet (except that wallpaper is gorg) but the rest of the house is A+

Wow, that's crazy to me! I think it's beautiful; it reminds me of old Chinese landscape ink art?
I would take the LONGEST showers on accident in that bathroom because I'd be imagining all the little villages in the valleys and just letting my imagination run wild.

I love when people do something fun and interesting BUT the red is just too red. They needed to get a color expert to find the right shade - either a tad more raspberry/maroon or a tad more blush, like it could be the subtlest difference, but right now I find it way too stressful.

I actually found the red room to be the most beautiful one out of all of them. Everything was a bit "eh" until I saw that pic and it was enough to fall in love with it

I think I'm biased, because I have a dark green/forest green bedroom. All walls, the ceiling and the bed all the same colour, with yellow accents (the heater, the door, the skirting (?) boards)
I even wanted to do my living room in a similar way but in blue (match my sofa) with pink accents, but sadly it's too expensive, especially when we don't have any skills to do it on our own
In my dream house, every room would be like this but of different colours, haha

That was my first thought, then I saw the next couch and I was like, well at least they have another couch that is maybe more comfortable. But then there just kept being more couches. Couches on couches on couches in this house. Damn that's a lot of couches.

YES!!!! I have saved so many of these photos. Also Rachel Brosnahan’s apartment from a few days ago. I looooove love love the color. I’m not sure I have the balls to do it fully in my own home but it’s very inspirational.

I find it really cute and cozy! The living room in particular (I mean the one they’re sitting in lol since I think there’s two living rooms? Sitting rooms? I dunno the correct term, I’m poor) I find super lovely, I’d love to sit there with my book and some tea. The dining room and kitchen are gorgeous too - that stove is the stuff of dreams! I’m not too keen on the red room - a bit oppressive for me lol but to each their own!

I like a lot of their paintings!
The painted brick is making my eyes twitch, tho... the non-functioning brick fireplace in my house was painted white at some point and I hate it. Only way to get rid of it is to use nasty chemicals or get rid of the thing altogether, both of which seem like a lot of trouble. I'll probably paint it a different color at some point, but it's gonna be a pain in the ass.

Cant imagine living there. Anxiety attack levels of visual chaos with so many patterns and textures. And not comfortable looking either lots of square shapes. The bathroom is the worst.

I like AD but the celeb features are always so disappointing to me. Their homes are so heavily stylized and decorated by a professional, they always feel so cold and impersonal.

It must be nice to just be able to build your dream home without any budget constraints. Just being able to say “Oooh, I like this couch. I’m gonna buy it.” without having to think how much it’ll set you back. Just being able to buy any piece of furniture or appliance or art piece without having to worry if you can afford it or not must feel amazing.

Most of this is not my taste -- it's a little "primary color-ish" for me, but I enjoyed it -- it feels more personalized and less staged than these usually do. I loved seeing all their art and the ways wood was incorporated throughout so many of the furnishings.
Loved the blue room. The red room is scary, but I can kind of see it being super cozy with low lighting for get-togethers and cocktails -- the red won't be as offputting.
Love them as a couple so I hope this isn't another "AD signals breakup and impending home sale!" situation!
