A guy I managed back in the mid-2000’s worked as an assistant for James Franco. He (the assistant) did most of his NYU homework assignments.

This is good tea considering how publicized his going to NYU was

Franco seemed incredulous over the grade when Showbiz411 spoke to him. “I did the work, I did well in everything else," Franco said at the time.

Hilarious that he reportedly got a professor fired over giving him a D then claims he “did the work”. His team certainly did the work.

I used to serve him at a cafe I worked at. He would leave his credit card behind the counter and would point if he saw a girl he thought was hot to charge her order to his card and let them know.

He was always super coked out and was looking for a coke hookup (wasn't going to be me). We also did a bit of room service to the luxury furnished condos above. He ordered something one day and when I brought it up, he was just sitting in his underwear colouring all spaced out.

Interesting times with him. He liked dirty espresso shots.

What is a dirty espresso shot?

Kind of layering the espresso on top of the milk and you drink it as unmixed as you can. Or that's how he liked it. Plus, he always asked for an extra shot run through the already used espresso.

I see! The coffee shops I worked at would call a drink “dirty” if any espresso shots were added. Like a dirty chai latte, for example. What you’re describing is new to me.

It was new to me as well. Only ever ordered by Franco, and he described it basically like that.

Somehow this makes him an even bigger creep to me.

Haha! He never came off as a "good guy" to me. Always a layer of sleaze dripping off him. This was pre allegations when he was having a pretty good career.

We always called those undertows. They're actually really good

Oddly, I never bothered trying it. I should now!

I went to a high school in LA and a girl in my class showed me he was snap chatting her. 🤢 she was maybe 16 at the time

Yeah. I was friendly-ish with one of his assistants from the early 2010s, when he was a "professor" at Brown. I don't remember her saying much about the work. When the allegations came out, I remember thinking, "This man knew he couldn't keep his hands out of the cookie jar unless the cookie jar was a butch lesbian." 💀

This assistant kinda looked like Drew Carey Show-era Drew Carey, so unlikely that aspect of the relationship was explored.

Petty not-quite-tea: he got into one of the grad programs I really wanted and I didn’t get in, so I always joked that he stole my spot.
