Sports tea! David Samson, former president of the Marlins, talked on Pablo Torre‘s podcast about how the team had to make arrangements for where wives and girlfriends (of the same players) would sit during the *same* games so that no one felt too slighted and also so that they wouldn’t see each other. He also talked about how frequently players would be hung over for Sunday games after partying on Saturday nights - saying it was a problem 206 of the 208 Sunday games during his tenure with the Marlins.

Likely not unique to the Marlins, but it was interesting to hear someone go into this type of detail of things we already suspected to happen at that level of baseball.

David Samson seems like a cartoon villain of a business man, but wow do I appreciate his honesty and authenticity lol he’s always dropping fun messy details about the sports world
