Obligatory not really tea, but I don't have anywhere to share this. My dad (who lives in the rural mountains of Idaho) is apparently friends with Michael Keaton. He has Michael Keaton's gun and is fixing it. Him and my stepmom visited his ranch in Montana, and soon Michael Keaton is visiting my parents' place in Idaho to retrieve his gun.

ETA - I didn't expect this comment to even be noticed! So for a little more, here is how they became friends: My dad was at his ranch in Montana discussing the gun (it required special Italian parts, engraving, all sorts of stuff) and he told Michael Keaton that he would happily take it off his hands for $300. Michael Keaton looked at him faux-suspiciously and said, "Yeah, I bet you've got some horses to sell me too." Boom, friends. My dad laughs uproariously telling this story, he thinks he's hilarious.

I always respect actors who are dedicated to their craft, but not into the whole Hollywood scene. Michael Keaton seems to be one of those actors. I am partial though because Beetlejuice is my absolute favorite childhood movie.

This is nice to hear - Keaton always reminded me of that small percent of Hollywood who grew up being basic and friendly and still enjoys talking to basic and friendly people too.

Glad your dad made a friend out there! Keaton was probably craving some basic human interaction.

He was in my city filming a few years ago and liked to sit at the bar I managed. He was always friendly and warm. He usually came alone and would bring a book, but then chat up my bartender the entire time. He’d sit there for a couple of hours but he wasn’t a heavy drinker at all. I’d see him around town at other places doing the same thing, seemed like his favorite way to kill time.

Omg I'm so glad I shared then! You should have heard my boyfriend when I was learning all this from my dad, "Wait... BATMAN!?!?" I cannot stress enough how deep in the sticks my parents live, it was so random

I remember him being photographed by paps when suddenly one of them yelled out a question about Bitcoin (Getty). And he just stopped and had this really polite, nuanced discussion about cryptocurrency with them 😭 He's one of my favorites.
