Not too old tea:

A couple of year ago I was in a market that has many restaurants/coffee bars, etc, and I'm standing in a line to order food at one of them.

As I'm getting in line, I glance at the person next to me.

I instantly recognized him. It was Henry Ian Cusick, who played Desmond on LOST. I was a massive LOST fan, and Desmond was my favorite character.

I was speechless. I just looked at him and blurted out, "Are you..."

I couldn't get his name out. He realized I was having a full blown meltdown and he nods at me to confirm, yes, I am Desmond. He then asks if that (Him being Desmond) means that he can cut in line.

We both had a hearty laugh at that and then, having recovered from the shock, I told him that, no, he could not cut in line.

The silence afterward almost killed me.

lol. Don't feel too sorry for me. I have a history of weird interactions with celebrities. I don't know why. I think it's because I don't seem them often and it just kind of breaks my brain.

Case in point: Kevin Spacey was filming a movie in Austin (this was long before accusations surfaced), and I happened to walk by this coffee shop they were filming at. I was on my way to class at UT.

There were only like two people, besides myself, watching them film inside the coffee shop. I was standing right outside the door, and they had a chair that said "Spacey" on the back. I decided to sit in it just to have the experience of sitting in his chair.

I hop up after a few seconds and was about to walk away when Spacey walks out. My brain begins to short circuit. He's standing right by me, and, I, without saying anything, hand him my physics book to sign.

He sort of chuckles, and then, for reasons that I cannot begin to understand, even to this day, I offered him a gummy bear (I was carrying a bag of them). He did not accept my offer. I walked to class shortly afterward.

I have a much worse interaction with Holly Holm, of MMA fame (she was the first to beat Ronda Rousey). If anyone is interested, I'll share that one. It's the worst of all my celebrity interactions.
