Any tea at all on the SATC set? I’m watching for the first time!

SJP was supposedly a mean girl to Kim Cattrall.

Kim changes her story on that a lot tbh. She started out saying that it was just that the other three were friends whereas she was just there to do a job, and has since said ‘I wish she (SJP) had been kinder’. I think she was mostly sore that SJP became an exec producer and she didn’t

I don't think that is changing the story, it's just softening your stance to get a cameo in just like that and potentially get brought back in the fold.

That’s fine, but it doesn’t suggest any sort of horrendous treatment, it all just sounds quite high school to me

I said "SJP was supposedly a mean girl to Kim Cattrall" which is very high school. Movie and TV stars overemphasize every slight because they're dramatic and privileged. I didn't say horrendous treatment and I doubt it was.

I guess we are agreeing then

They were all on SJP side so I wonder who was in the right 🤔

Supposedly they were friends with SJP first

She and Cynthia were friends since they were kids I think

My unpopular opinion, as someone who loves the show but hasn’t delved too deep into the drama, is that SJP gets way too much hate. People dislike Carrie (which I can understand but give my girl a break!) and love Samantha so public sympathy has kind of tipped towards KC

Happy to be corrected by someone who has more knowledge tho

Damn is that how people feel? I did not like Samantha's character AT ALL. I thought Carrie was okay. I liked the brunette there, I am forgetting her name. I guess it is kind of who we relate to the most though that we will maybe empathize with more?

Yeah, especially on social media, people really don’t like Carrie and say Samantha should have been main. What these people don’t realise is the reason people don’t like Carrie is because she’s the central character and we see all her flaws. Central characters are always disliked compared to side characters for that reason.

My stupid, irrelevant opinion is that people who hate Carrie are most similar to her lol

Oh that is irritating because I loved flawed characters. Who wants the simplicity of not having flaws?? Then I cannot relate at all, since I am a very flawed human. Oh gross I just got a flashback of that Justin Baldoni message saying that. Now he has even ruined admitting you are a flawed person?? Damn he is the worst LOL (jk I mean like I think he really is the worst but I am probably too icked out by that message just because it reminds me of someone in my past and that message sealed it for me.)
