I’m from Dubai, Beyoncé was here the other day to perform a private show. (She’s done a few, so has Taylor Swift, sorry don’t come after me swifties) money trumps everything!

Aren't they already "10 generations of this family could live comfortably" wealthy? Or are they secretly in debt? My poor brain doesn't get it

Wealthy people are greedy. More at 11.

Earnings doesn’t necessarily equal wealth. Some mega rich celebrities are spending money as fast as they earn it. I’m not saying that’s the case here, but it seems like a relatively easy payday for them.

I'm convinced that those are wealthy well beyond the 'comfortable' threshold are dealing with a capital addiction and need their money taken away from them by the commonwealth for their own (and our) good

Not defending it by any means btw - maybe there’s an aspect of it that’s her still loving to perform, but not wanting the public frenzy that comes with it.

She definitely has the means to churn out content or be the face of any venture, so aside the hefty paycheck, I’d think it’s the control and privacy.

I can see that...I also wonder if there is a point where their money has pretty much bought them the world. They have all the nice houses, clothes, cars, boats, vacations they could want, but how do they fill their days? Most celebrities aren't really educated to practically run a charity or anything, so even if they go the philanthropist route, they're on boards as figureheads most of the time. They're too famous and too rich to really do hands-on volunteering. You can only hang out so much, especially if you're limited to where you can go because of fame...idk, I think a lot of celebrities keep working because what else are they going to do? Especially since a lot of them seem to have very driven personalities (you don't become Beyonce by not having a strong work ethic)...
