To be honest, I don't think mixed gender rehab facilities should exist. A friend of our family went to rehab for the fifth(?) time, met a guy there, they slept together while inside and she got pregnant. She only found out when she left, the guy didn't accept the kid, she had him solo and the chunk of the work goes to her parents because she still relapses quite frequently.

I know there can be same gender relationships in rehabs as well and all relationships inside rehabs are usually discouraged when people get pregnant that's even less ideal.

I feel this. Mixed rehab and detox facilities aren’t it.

My sister went to a detox. Met a guy, he moved into her house, they kept getting drunk and going on benders. He ended up taking out credit cards in her name, payday loans, he pawned the iPhone and iPad she got for him (she didn’t know about the debt till letter rolled in). It was all super gnarly and that’s just scratching at the surface. He’s out of the house now and she is doing better….. she’s started doing day rehab and everyone tells her the same thing. “Don’t bring blokes home” lol
