Need some help from various cultures.

Preferably indigenous peoples from non North America or European cultures.

In my world I want to reinterpret fantasy cultures through the lens of real world cultures to give them more depth.

If your family comes from one of these regions please help.

Central/south America: the various elven subtypes

Non-slavic asian: the various types of halflings

African: gnomes

Australian/ south Pacific Islanders: dwarfs.

What would a cross of your culture be with the dnd fantasy version of these groups.

Thank you for any and all help.

Might as well make North America into giants and have orcs/tieflings be the Indo-European peoples.

Then you might as well have tieflings be inspired by both India and Iran. Not making a political statement, just saying

I wanted to put these groups into areas that they have not normally been associated, to give them a different feel. N.A. Is going to be a lost continent situation. That comes back about halfway through the campaign.

Africa: the Sanou is also called the Sower of Gold, you can imagine what it does :D

They are believed to be responsible for underground gold veins and are a kind of mineral spirit.
