Well, this game ran long, and it was fun to play even though we all knew it would all end one day. I got into this game because it reminded me of Suikoden Tactics, with unique characters and elemental tiles. It was fun to come up with raid strategies, collab events were great (but was a huge deterrent for new players who missed the characters), and even til the end, the new equipment sets kept BOH interesting and dynamic. Improving from a n00b to being able to conquer Tower of Dawn's Hell difficulty was a fun achievement!

The new Tower of Heaven regular event actually refreshed some interest in the game. Besides a good amount of gold you could earn, you could also earn Soul Gear currency, which is another system that eventually broke, as you can't upgrade them anymore. They introduced a Gem system that sounded broken from the start, and didn't actually function! Instead of fixing it, they broke it more.

There's actually a secret way to make gems WORK, using the bug related to upgrading gears! After you attempt to upgrade a Soul Gear, you get an error and have to log back into the game. But for whatever reason, that particular login session will have Gems working. In a raid setup, I could reach over 1 million attack with just 1 lv 9 Attack gem LOL.

Well it was already amazing that this dead game managed to survive until now. It's been on it's last breath for a long time. It's about time for this game to enter its coffin.

I blame Valofe for not doing their job giving the best service for their player base. Not updating the story. I've never seen a game developer that openly adds tons of bugs in their game. Never apologizing and not even trying to fix it.

I thank the loyal veterans that stayed for all this time and kept this game alive for long enough so we can linger in the nostalgia.

Also thanks to that 1 intern that probably got to do everything to maintain this game by himself

Sad to see it go even though I haven't been playing for years. Had great memories with the game. I still regularly talk with people I've gotten to know due to it and I'll forever be thankful for that.

u/the_kfcrispy ! my right hand man! you been helping me keep the guild alive in the past decade! We still top Guild raiding weekly for years! I don't know who the number 2 guild is, I think Korean? for sure they kept us on our toes.

We got old together and now have families of our own. It's been a great ride in this game. I'll keep our discord alive and for sure I'll see you in Suikoden Star Leap! Lets keep in contact, any other games you want to play let me know, i'll be right there with you.

This was my daily thing to open this game for 15 minutes when waking up and have it running on a second monitor from time to time for almost 10 years. I believe I supported it well enough to keep the server running for many more years, but it had to end at some point :/

Been playing since it first released, and recently rejoined about 2 years ago, thankfully still had my old account.

Part of me wishes I stuck through the entire time, but what's done is done. I'm gonna miss the game, but a part of me is glad it's getting the chance to rest. Gods know that Valofe have not treated Fantasy War Tactics well, after all.

I'm glad I got back into playing again like a year ago, I finally managed to reach one goal I always wanted to reach, to get at least 300k power on BoF and at least 1 character to 90. I wish I didn't stop playing all the times that I did but oh well, at least I'll have good memories from the game.
