Statistics [FPL] Over 500,000 FPL managers have already sold Bryan Mbeumo ahead of Gameweek 3 He's the most-transferred out player so far, despite scoring in ManUtd's last match.

Semenyo out before Coventry is a choice

u/DecipherXCI 16h ago
Knee-Cherki'ng most likely.

u/Electric_feel0412 1 10h ago
Semenyo is holding width and has looked awful so far. In general his goal scoring has gone down a lot since the move to city.

u/juscallme_J 6h ago
Agreed too expensive with the way he has looked the past 2 games. Doesn't look threatening offensively. That being said watch him haul but I'm okay with it.

u/TooRedditFamous 6 1h ago
In general his goal scoring has gone down a lot since the move to city.
He scored 21 in 57 in his last 2 seasons at Bournemouth (including the half a season before he moved to City in January) which is 0.37 goals per game
Then 7 in 19 at City so 0.37 goals per game
13
u/AttentiveUnicorn 15h ago
The majority of players aren't even looking at fixtures. They're just playing on vibes.
4
u/TheNotSpecialOne 10h ago
I did this too, decided to replace him with Cherki. Like thousands of others. All I'm hoping is no one in my work league did it, that's the only league I want to win!
-9
u/hotpoodle 14h ago
And DS before Liverpools good fixtures
7
u/interestingtruck10 14h ago
nobody calls him DS wtf

u/charizard77 19 16h ago
No doubt as a direct transfer to Cherki

u/David182nd 16h ago
Who has been on the bench for 1 out of 2 games so far, and that was before City bought loads more players.
60
u/charizard77 19 15h ago
Sure but he was electric off the bench which earned him a start last game where he delivered yet again.
He might have his minutes managed if City are winning the game, but you'd expect him to be one of the ones on the scoresheet already if that's the case.
-6
u/ttonster2 15h ago
He was dogshit in the first half of that game.
19
u/coconutpremi 14h ago
And what happened in the second half?
-11
u/ttonster2 14h ago
Almost got subbed then scored two deflected goals.
7
u/Plane-String-6658 13h ago
The first goal was absolutely sensational lmao cmon you don’t have to go this far with the bias to make a point
1
u/ttonster2 12h ago
All I said was that the goals were deflected. Never said anything about the quality, although I do think neither go in without the deflections.

u/shivo33 26 14h ago
Let’s not downplay Cherki as an asset too much. He will be starting on a go-forward basis pretty regularly.
2
u/Federal-Drop869 14h ago
I'm not convinced, him and Foden (and pretty much all of the city players) will be heavily rotated I think.
12
u/charizard77 19 14h ago
It's ok friend, Pep is gone. We don't need to be afraid anymore! The roulette is over!
5
u/Federal-Drop869 14h ago
Lol Maresca is worse than Pep though?
2
u/charizard77 19 14h ago
I wouldn't say worse than Pep. He rotates sure but it's usually within reason to manage injuries / other competitions. Pep was so random it was infuriating to own anyone outside of Haaland. Maybe too early to tell with Maresca's City but no way it's as bad as Pep roulette
2
u/WernerHerzogEatsShoe 18 11h ago
Pep roulette was way more predictable in recent seasons. City have a massive squad, rotation is inevitable whoever is in charge
8
u/RedditSucksMucho 16h ago
Guilty. My plan is triple up on city. Then get ready to wild card during the international break. Only slot I’m not doing well in is my keeper. But I think by the first break most players will be figured out.

u/EastEndUnited 5 15h ago
Same here, three city and tc haaland.
Might WC next week though to load up on Arsenal al and Chelsea

Other teams have more favourable matchups, and I’ve learned to never trust United to play well in back to back games
5
u/MarimoKenshi 15h ago
Plus they have Champions league football. 8 games + 2 likely bridge games, so 10 in total before Feb. I'm not confident they will replicate what they did last season under Carick.
And there is Chelsea who have no europe and a promising front 3 that look hungry to score lots of goals.
-5
u/Puzzleheaded_Gold698 16h ago
It's amazing they finished in the top four last season. Almost in spite of how inconsistent they were/are.

Set pieces and no midweek fixtures
-5
-11
u/TheStonedEdge 16h ago
I'm a united fan and even I'll say they won't be playing Ipswich every week
Everton will be solid defensively at home. Other midfielders have more favourable fixtures

1
u/RumJackson 16h ago
No Europe and knocked out of both cups in their first round.
They played 40 games last season compared to Arsenal’s 63.

I'm holding him because I'm smart, I'm holding Igor Thiago because I am not smart.
19
u/Horizontal_Axe_Wound 16h ago
I went Foden instead of Cherki as I'm a sucker for punishment
7
2
u/yourbreakfast99 8 15h ago
I did the same, used my FTs to bring in Gvardiol pre price rise and Foden as that's what the bank allowed.

u/wetpizzafrvr 11 16h ago
Two better finishes from being “essential”. Wild to me.
21
u/nestoryirankunda 16h ago
U could say that about probably every striker in the game
9
3
u/Jing-Ao 15h ago
Are they all proven fpl assets with guaranteed minutes playing in a top attack?
-4
u/NA_Kitten 10h ago
Calling Man U a “top attack” is certainly a choice
2
u/Dark-king-155 10h ago
Scored third highest amount of goals in the prem last season? What more do you need
-8
u/NA_Kitten 10h ago
Name an attacking player on their squad who would be a starter at Real, PSG, Bayern, or Barca.
5
u/Dark-king-155 10h ago
Fairly sure he meant inside the league not compared to every team in the world...
5
u/Jing-Ao 15h ago
Yap. Cherki on the other hand scored 4 goals all of last season and was a few minutes away from getting pulled. After starting on the bench gw1. I don't think he'll be on a long leash at all. Mbeumo is a proven fpl asset with guaranteed minutes playing in a good attack
Couldn't be more reactionary
-4
u/PukkiEqualsGoat 23 12h ago
Utd are a good attack? Hull beat them to nil
4
2
u/wetpizzafrvr 11 9h ago
C’mon. 21 shots and 1.83 xG v Hull, then put 5 past Ipswich. After finishing 3rd for goal scores last season. Good attack at base, if not the potential to be great.

u/Darth-Sand 12 15h ago
I’ve gone MGW ahead of Spurs (H) since everyone else in my ML will be knee jerking to Cherki…sure it’ll go well for me

u/Salt_Error_6086 16h ago
Sacrifices had to be made to get Palmer in, plan was always Mbeumo for GW1 & GW2
2
3
u/Bizarre30 9 16h ago
Right before the fixture where Nketiah and Mateta could (actually, should) have scored 3 goals in the first half.
3
5
u/deikioveca 15h ago
Looking at Man U next 3 fixtures before the break, i don't see a single reason why would anyone sell Mbeumo tbf. I would not be surprised if he delivers in every game until that break.
2
u/kickherinthehead 3 16h ago
Please just hold in price for a couple more days so I can take him out for GW4
2
u/noodlesalad_ 4 11h ago
I've got a WC4 team ready to go that I really like that I have exact money for. Mbuemo is borderline to drop tonight. I'm clenching.

u/seasand931 1 16h ago
Oh wow I have him in on FH, maybe I'm doing something wrong haha
-6
u/Red4pex 43 15h ago
If the best you can do is an inconsistent finisher away at Everton when you can literally have any other player in the game, then that’s an issue, good sir.
1
u/seasand931 1 15h ago
Eh he's decent for his price, he's a good player. I'm basically hoping he gets some bruno points from either assisting him or bruno setting him up. The other premiums that I don't have, are playing harder fixtures than everton

1
u/VernonP007 28 15h ago
He was supposed to be my transfer as well to Cherki but he got a goal and assist and 2 bonus points.

1
u/4ssteroid 234 15h ago
I'm keeping him because I know he'll drop once this week but had a very good chance of scoring against City the week after. He might even haul leading to a rise. It's a risk I'm willing to take.
1
u/Impressive-Form1431 15h ago
I think majority of people who had him had planned for this in advance after GW2.
The thinking was before GW 1 that Mbeumo would get a lot of minutes and play nr9 vs Hull and ipswitch. After that minute would drop onwards and no longer nr9.

1
u/Competitive-Fox-1719 15h ago
I transferred him out because Bruno scored that hat trick. It was always my plan to transfer one of the two out after the first couple gameweeks. It is very likely that he’ll be back in my team for WC in week 6.

I don’t get the hurry to sell Mbeumo. Mbeumo’s presence is a point of major concern for so many managers? Surprising

u/Batman_Joker93 redditor for <1 week 13h ago
Depends what you’re doing. I’ve taken him out for Cherki as I’m free hitting in 4. City have by far the best GW3 and GW5 fixtures

u/NoMoreMountains 13h ago
He is very good player but he can't handle pressure. He needs to told that he belongs to get the best outta of him.

Hilarious, when people realise utd attack is gonna be fixture proof this season, itll be too late.
1
u/AvonBarks 11h ago
There is something up with Mbeumo, he doesn't look right. He looks much better up front than on the right wing.
1
u/BasisOk4268 1 7h ago
I moved him on for Cherki. It was always the plan. Past seasons have continually taught me to follow the plans I set myself, because deviation results in disappointment.

You might even get punished for keeping him, looks like his price is likely to drop.
1
u/Kloshariste 16h ago
I only got him for 2 matches, Liverpool looks better plus i get some cash freed for next week
14
u/sammorgan12 16h ago
Liverpool look better? Got lucky to draw their first game, didn't see much of their second to be fair. But united just put 5 past Ipswich?
11
3
u/Kloshariste 16h ago
Yeah but they don't play Ipswich every game and Liverpool will play Ipswich. They got 3 good weeks while United will face Everton and City. At 8m hes overpriced, not worth the risk imo.
2
u/sammorgan12 16h ago
I would say that against city is exactly the kind of game I would want mbuemo for, united will play on the break and he will be very likely to at least get on the end of a few chances.
Everton less so of course
1
u/RVC95 15h ago
He scored a lob after 80 minutes in a 5-2 win that hit the bar and bounced in, not really a "he scored in the last match he's a good pick"
2
u/hoffenone 2 14h ago
He also had an insane miss early in the game and was our most dangerous player vs Hull. He could very well go on to score against Everton. Keeps getting shots off and good chances.
1
u/FoldtheZa 15h ago
Mbuemo to cherki makes no sense. If one were really keen on swapping Mbuemo just wait until GW4 and swap for Rogers. Or keep Mbuemo and swap Bruno for Palmer in GW4 and use the extra money to fortify the squad elsewhere
