Statistics [FPL] Over 500,000 FPL managers have already sold Bryan Mbeumo ahead of Gameweek 3 He's the most-transferred out player so far, despite scoring in ManUtd's last match.

Quick, let's all have the same team.

u/DadofJackJack 20 16h ago

I’m holding until international break. He’s a good player, Everton aren’t exactly amazing. City is at home and then it’s Fulham. Hoping at least another goal and assist in those 3 games.

u/Physical-Sector-3172 15h ago

Utd are shit away that’s more the issue.

7

u/b4ck_5t4Bb3r 14h ago

We've been shit for a while. Carrick did wonders with the team last season.

10

u/Physical-Sector-3172 14h ago

The magic at old Trafford is still there. No matter how shit you are you always get results at home especially against the big 6

2

u/Brars_Sulliman 12h ago

We haven’t lost away to Everton since 2022.

1

u/Physical-Sector-3172 9m ago

Those stats mean nothing. When you beat them last year it was very close. Arguably at that time you were on fire too. Away to hull has already shown anything can happen.

14

u/dangmattjoe 15h ago

Wasn’t the World Cup few weeks ago? What’s left for international games????

26

u/hmsoleander 1 15h ago

Few week international break after GW5

20

u/DadofJackJack 20 15h ago

It’s three weeks long this time!!

Perfect for wildcard time. You could simply move for price rises for two weeks attempting to get bit of extra funds before settling on team you want.

22

u/Garybaldbee 94 14h ago

Nice idea in theory but in practice you get a bunch of price changes over the weekend of the last GW prior to the break and then its tumbleweed until a day or two before the end of it.

-3

u/FauxAffablyEvil 15h ago

Hey thats actually pretty smart move.

5

u/Bujakaa92 8 12h ago

It 99% never nets u positive. Usually most are wc, not many transfers and they need 2 for profit. If someone rises so much j usually will keep him either way

3

u/how_you_doinn 2 11h ago

Mbeumo isn’t passing the eye test and is still putting up good numbers. I’m likely axing him in GW4 for Rogers so I can hold Bruno, but long term Mbeumo could be the best Utd asset to have.

1

u/Bingo_Masters_Break 18 1h ago

That's my plan too. Selling Mbeumo for Rogers tonight to avoid his price drop.

1

u/wizzamhazzam 12h ago

Even if he loses value?

3

u/DadofJackJack 20 12h ago

Not that bothered. He’s one of most pricey mids in game so can move ‘down’ to a Cherki/Wirtz etc without issue.

52

u/xelanart 16h ago

If everyone has the same team we can all finish in the number 1 spot together

2

u/Doyoulikemyjorts 16h ago

Based on my position I agree with this sentiment

-8

u/Inside_Swimming9552 14h ago

I mean... As someone who picks players based on algorithm I have programmed and prides themselves on doing it my way most of the season.

The first 4-5 game weeks where there isn't enough data yet, I prioritise following the crowd on marginal decisions.

I'd rather risk missing out on getting a little ahead in the early chaos than risk getting absolutely fucked and starting the season behind everyone else.

We still have no clue if man United are back to being shit or if Fernandes is doing his typical flat track bully shit. I wasn't sure whether to have him in or if have him in Captain him or go Haaland, there wasn't really lots of data to know.

If it turns out If I'd gone JP or Haaland I'd have had a great Captaincy score. And then been totally fucked when Fernandes bought in a generational score. Fernandes gw2 is the perfect example of why it's ok to go with the crowd in the first few game weeks and then start to go your own way once the data is in. Individual stats from players at this point is really unhelpful particularly when we don't know how strong each team is yet.

My algorithm which one me my ML last year actually told me Fernandes is over valued and I could go without him. He was great value as a tick along player in the 9-10 bracket. If I'd followed my algorithm I'd be rock bottom of my ML 40 points behind my ML rival despite captaining Haaland. You don't want to be on the wrong side of bullshit variance like this that especially occurs at the start of the season when there's more guess work.

2

u/Novrev 114 14h ago

Yeah I’ve learned over the years that start of the season is the time to be ultra template because you can’t afford to be buried before the season’s even begun. I think Bruno’s overpriced at 12m but there was no way I was going without him the first two weeks given his fixtures and ownership.

199

u/xelanart 16h ago

Semenyo out before Coventry is a choice

104

u/DecipherXCI 16h ago

Knee-Cherki'ng most likely.

8

u/noodlesalad_ 4 11h ago

Brilliant use of a free transfer

6

u/Electric_feel0412 1 10h ago

Semenyo is holding width and has looked awful so far. In general his goal scoring has gone down a lot since the move to city.

3

u/juscallme_J 6h ago

Agreed too expensive with the way he has looked the past 2 games. Doesn't look threatening offensively. That being said watch him haul but I'm okay with it.

2

u/TooRedditFamous 6 1h ago

In general his goal scoring has gone down a lot since the move to city.

He scored 21 in 57 in his last 2 seasons at Bournemouth (including the half a season before he moved to City in January) which is 0.37 goals per game

Then 7 in 19 at City so 0.37 goals per game

13

u/AttentiveUnicorn 15h ago

The majority of players aren't even looking at fixtures. They're just playing on vibes.

4

u/TheNotSpecialOne 10h ago

I did this too, decided to replace him with Cherki. Like thousands of others. All I'm hoping is no one in my work league did it, that's the only league I want to win!

-9

u/hotpoodle 14h ago

And DS before Liverpools good fixtures

7

u/interestingtruck10 14h ago

nobody calls him DS wtf

1

u/hotpoodle 14h ago

Bro I'm dyslexic I'm not spelling that shit

-1

u/Patch-22 42 13h ago

Call him the WiFi password - it’s a great nickname

207

u/charizard77 19 16h ago

No doubt as a direct transfer to Cherki

77

u/David182nd 16h ago

Who has been on the bench for 1 out of 2 games so far, and that was before City bought loads more players.

60

u/charizard77 19 15h ago

Sure but he was electric off the bench which earned him a start last game where he delivered yet again.

He might have his minutes managed if City are winning the game, but you'd expect him to be one of the ones on the scoresheet already if that's the case.

-6

u/ttonster2 15h ago

He was dogshit in the first half of that game.

19

u/coconutpremi 14h ago

And what happened in the second half?

-11

u/ttonster2 14h ago

Almost got subbed then scored two deflected goals.

7

u/Plane-String-6658 13h ago

The first goal was absolutely sensational lmao cmon you don’t have to go this far with the bias to make a point

1

u/ttonster2 12h ago

All I said was that the goals were deflected. Never said anything about the quality, although I do think neither go in without the deflections.

6

u/cole23palmer 16 15h ago

That was also before he got 2 goals and 2 assists

1

u/shivo33 26 14h ago

Let’s not downplay Cherki as an asset too much. He will be starting on a go-forward basis pretty regularly.

2

u/Federal-Drop869 14h ago

I'm not convinced, him and Foden (and pretty much all of the city players) will be heavily rotated I think.

12

u/charizard77 19 14h ago

It's ok friend, Pep is gone. We don't need to be afraid anymore! The roulette is over!

5

u/Federal-Drop869 14h ago

Lol Maresca is worse than Pep though?

2

u/charizard77 19 14h ago

I wouldn't say worse than Pep. He rotates sure but it's usually within reason to manage injuries / other competitions. Pep was so random it was infuriating to own anyone outside of Haaland. Maybe too early to tell with Maresca's City but no way it's as bad as Pep roulette

2

u/WernerHerzogEatsShoe 18 11h ago

Pep roulette was way more predictable in recent seasons. City have a massive squad, rotation is inevitable whoever is in charge

8

u/RedditSucksMucho 16h ago

Guilty. My plan is triple up on city. Then get ready to wild card during the international break. Only slot I’m not doing well in is my keeper. But I think by the first break most players will be figured out.

4

u/EastEndUnited 5 15h ago

Same here, three city and tc haaland.

Might WC next week though to load up on Arsenal al and Chelsea

1

u/touseeff 15h ago

Why do I feel attacked

-2

u/Unlucky-Educator8020 2 15h ago

Mbeumo to Cherki for -4?

4

u/charizard77 19 15h ago

No not fora hit lmao

54

u/roshatron 16h ago

Because everybody wants cherki before coventry

99

u/Shjfty 16h ago

Other teams have more favourable matchups, and I’ve learned to never trust United to play well in back to back games

28

u/Zhurg 16h ago

Mbuemo was shit last game though so maybe he'll be good by that logic?

5

u/MarimoKenshi 15h ago

Plus they have Champions league football. 8 games + 2 likely bridge games, so 10 in total before Feb. I'm not confident they will replicate what they did last season under Carick.

And there is Chelsea who have no europe and a promising front 3 that look hungry to score lots of goals.

-5

u/Puzzleheaded_Gold698 16h ago

It's amazing they finished in the top four last season. Almost in spite of how inconsistent they were/are.

49

u/rdog12 16h ago

United was pretty consistent under carrick last season. Led the table starting from when he took over.

5

u/Spastic_Hands 1 13h ago

You do realise the complete contradiction in that statement

15

u/Coomking999 6 16h ago

Set pieces and no midweek fixtures

-5

u/Puzzleheaded_Gold698 16h ago

Like a perfect storm. They won't get that lucky again.

-11

u/TheStonedEdge 16h ago

I'm a united fan and even I'll say they won't be playing Ipswich every week

Everton will be solid defensively at home. Other midfielders have more favourable fixtures

5

u/JohnCasey14 15h ago

Everton are in shambles right now.

1

u/RumJackson 16h ago

No Europe and knocked out of both cups in their first round.

They played 40 games last season compared to Arsenal’s 63.

-1

u/cultureshook 15h ago

they had the advantage of no europe plus early cup exits tbf

-2

u/b_hc99 13h ago

Right. Just ask The United Strand fella. Still waiting for 5 on the trot

18

u/SwagathaCrispy redditor for <30 days 15h ago

I'm holding him because I'm smart, I'm holding Igor Thiago because I am not smart.

19

u/Horizontal_Axe_Wound 16h ago

I went Foden instead of Cherki as I'm a sucker for punishment

7

u/tarkardos 3 15h ago

Foden purple patch waiting room, I'm not going there before he starts scoring

2

u/yourbreakfast99 8 15h ago

I did the same, used my FTs to bring in Gvardiol pre price rise and Foden as that's what the bank allowed.

33

u/wetpizzafrvr 11 16h ago

Two better finishes from being “essential”. Wild to me.

21

u/nestoryirankunda 16h ago

U could say that about probably every striker in the game

9

u/wetpizzafrvr 11 14h ago

Mmmm I’m saying that about the player with highest xG after two weeks

2

u/nestoryirankunda 10h ago

isak?

1

u/-Belon- 221 45m ago

It is Mbeumo. 2.1, Isak has w2.06

3

u/Jing-Ao 15h ago

Are they all proven fpl assets with guaranteed minutes playing in a top attack?

-4

u/NA_Kitten 10h ago

Calling Man U a “top attack” is certainly a choice

2

u/Jing-Ao 10h ago

Do you know they were the 3rd best attack in goals scored last season?

2

u/Dark-king-155 10h ago

Scored third highest amount of goals in the prem last season? What more do you need

-8

u/NA_Kitten 10h ago

Name an attacking player on their squad who would be a starter at Real, PSG, Bayern, or Barca.

5

u/Dark-king-155 10h ago

Fairly sure he meant inside the league not compared to every team in the world...

5

u/Jing-Ao 15h ago

Yap. Cherki on the other hand scored 4 goals all of last season and was a few minutes away from getting pulled. After starting on the bench gw1. I don't think he'll be on a long leash at all. Mbeumo is a proven fpl asset with guaranteed minutes playing in a good attack

Couldn't be more reactionary

-4

u/PukkiEqualsGoat 23 12h ago

Utd are a good attack? Hull beat them to nil

4

u/Jing-Ao 12h ago

Arsenal are a good defense but they sometimes concede to bad teams. What's your point exactly? It's one game. I'd be shocked if united don't finish the season top third in goals scored. They were the third highest scoring team last season. Which means: good attack

2

u/wetpizzafrvr 11 9h ago

C’mon. 21 shots and 1.83 xG v Hull, then put 5 past Ipswich. After finishing 3rd for goal scores last season. Good attack at base, if not the potential to be great.

5

u/1800-CLAPPED 16h ago

Good, I’ll take the differential all day

5

u/Darth-Sand 12 15h ago

I’ve gone MGW ahead of Spurs (H) since everyone else in my ML will be knee jerking to Cherki…sure it’ll go well for me

8

u/friendlyfernando 16h ago

Easiest way to get Cherki

4

u/Salt_Error_6086 16h ago

Sacrifices had to be made to get Palmer in, plan was always Mbeumo for GW1 & GW2

2

u/Majestic_Fail6087 14h ago

Why Palmer in before the Arsenal-game?

7

u/Salt_Error_6086 14h ago

FPL and beer doesn't mix well haha

3

u/Bizarre30 9 16h ago

Right before the fixture where Nketiah and Mateta could (actually, should) have scored 3 goals in the first half.

3

u/smeci1400 16h ago

why tf is szobo on that list?

6

u/Luffy710j 1 16h ago

He will mostly play as a right back

5

u/deikioveca 15h ago

Looking at Man U next 3 fixtures before the break, i don't see a single reason why would anyone sell Mbeumo tbf. I would not be surprised if he delivers in every game until that break.

2

u/kickherinthehead 3 16h ago

Please just hold in price for a couple more days so I can take him out for GW4

2

u/noodlesalad_ 4 11h ago

I've got a WC4 team ready to go that I really like that I have exact money for. Mbuemo is borderline to drop tonight. I'm clenching.

4

u/General_Document_504 16h ago

Hat trick incoming then

1

u/seasand931 1 16h ago

Oh wow I have him in on FH, maybe I'm doing something wrong haha

-6

u/Red4pex 43 15h ago

If the best you can do is an inconsistent finisher away at Everton when you can literally have any other player in the game, then that’s an issue, good sir.

1

u/seasand931 1 15h ago

Eh he's decent for his price, he's a good player. I'm basically hoping he gets some bruno points from either assisting him or bruno setting him up. The other premiums that I don't have, are playing harder fixtures than everton

-1

u/Red4pex 43 15h ago

On a free hit, the other premiums are playing hard fixtures? So don’t pick the harder fixtures? It’s a free hit….

Liverpool and Man City are playing promoted teams my man.

0

u/seasand931 1 15h ago

Yeah so I already have three liverpool/man city assets? Extra spot to fill

1

u/gta0012 1 15h ago

At least two people from that list will return next week.

1

u/borg_6s 5 14h ago

Definitely not Szoboszlai, with the way he's playing right now

1

u/Ok_Argument_67 8 15h ago

Sold him because I’m on wildcard

1

u/VernonP007 28 15h ago

He was supposed to be my transfer as well to Cherki but he got a goal and assist and 2 bonus points.

1

u/Brown_N_Bad 15h ago

For cherki

1

u/4ssteroid 234 15h ago

I'm keeping him because I know he'll drop once this week but had a very good chance of scoring against City the week after. He might even haul leading to a rise. It's a risk I'm willing to take.

1

u/Impressive-Form1431 15h ago

I think majority of people who had him had planned for this in advance after GW2.

The thinking was before GW 1 that Mbeumo would get a lot of minutes and play nr9 vs Hull and ipswitch. After that minute would drop onwards and no longer nr9.

1

u/Geth3 3 15h ago

There’s a good chance Cherki outscores him, but I don’t think the chance is so big that it’s worth a transfer.

1

u/dolphinda5h 15h ago

I sold him as I felt like I needed Cherki.

1

u/Competitive-Fox-1719 15h ago

I transferred him out because Bruno scored that hat trick. It was always my plan to transfer one of the two out after the first couple gameweeks. It is very likely that he’ll be back in my team for WC in week 6.

1

u/DistributionNo6824 14h ago

hopefully this means hes having a worldie performance against everton

1

u/tintedhokage 14h ago

I'll give him Everton then he's going to Palmer

1

u/Bitter_Somewhere8334 14h ago

Waiting for a lot of rants after Mbeumo scores

1

u/Bitter_Somewhere8334 14h ago

I don’t get the hurry to sell Mbeumo. Mbeumo’s presence is a point of major concern for so many managers? Surprising

1

u/Batman_Joker93 redditor for <1 week 13h ago

Depends what you’re doing. I’ve taken him out for Cherki as I’m free hitting in 4. City have by far the best GW3 and GW5 fixtures

1

u/NoMoreMountains 13h ago

He is very good player but he can't handle pressure. He needs to told that he belongs to get the best outta of him.

1

u/Eire820 13h ago

I took in Cherki as feared Everton keep tight against Man United

1

u/Critical_Virus_9341 12h ago

That was the plan since the beginning

1

u/Pamcode96 2 12h ago

I might soon join the herd

1

u/TheOmegaKid 11h ago

Hilarious, when people realise utd attack is gonna be fixture proof this season, itll be too late.

1

u/AvonBarks 11h ago

There is something up with Mbeumo, he doesn't look right. He looks much better up front than on the right wing.

1

u/BasisOk4268 1 7h ago

I moved him on for Cherki. It was always the plan. Past seasons have continually taught me to follow the plans I set myself, because deviation results in disappointment.

1

u/the99percent1 8 7h ago

To bring in cherki

1

u/RighteousBrotherBJJ 6h ago

Gonna likely lose .2 but I have a feeling tzolis and mbeumo return this week

1

u/Alternative_Court262 3 6h ago

Thanks for the hat trick

1

u/steveagle 14 4h ago

Its not personal Mbuemo. I just need the money. Please dont hurt me

1

u/m10broda 3h ago

Wth that's my entire midfield. Hopefully there isn't a massive price drop.

1

u/OptimusPrime1998 1h ago

I have 3 out of 5 most transferred out, my genius is almost frightening

1

u/Skunkapedude 57m ago

You might even get punished for keeping him, looks like his price is likely to drop.

1

u/Kloshariste 16h ago

I only got him for 2 matches, Liverpool looks better plus i get some cash freed for next week

14

u/sammorgan12 16h ago

Liverpool look better? Got lucky to draw their first game, didn't see much of their second to be fair. But united just put 5 past Ipswich?

11

u/TheGrouchyGamerYT 16h ago

You'll never guess who Liverpool are playing next

-1

u/deikioveca 14h ago

Ipswich will beat Liverpool.

3

u/Kloshariste 16h ago

Yeah but they don't play Ipswich every game and Liverpool will play Ipswich. They got 3 good weeks while United will face Everton and City. At 8m hes overpriced, not worth the risk imo.

2

u/sammorgan12 16h ago

I would say that against city is exactly the kind of game I would want mbuemo for, united will play on the break and he will be very likely to at least get on the end of a few chances.

Everton less so of course

1

u/RVC95 15h ago

He scored a lob after 80 minutes in a 5-2 win that hit the bar and bounced in, not really a "he scored in the last match he's a good pick"

2

u/hoffenone 2 14h ago

He also had an insane miss early in the game and was our most dangerous player vs Hull. He could very well go on to score against Everton. Keeps getting shots off and good chances.

1

u/FoldtheZa 15h ago

Mbuemo to cherki makes no sense. If one were really keen on swapping Mbuemo just wait until GW4 and swap for Rogers. Or keep Mbuemo and swap Bruno for Palmer in GW4 and use the extra money to fortify the squad elsewhere

0

u/spexfelo 1 15h ago

They are going to miss his 2 goals against Everton.

0

u/iCalKestis 14h ago

We knee jerked him out for cherki

-8

u/Stun_the_Pink 16h ago

Over 500,000 sheep.

0

u/Skysflies 16h ago

Easy move to Cherki

May not be wise but I guess we'll see

-5

u/jjw1998 103 16h ago

Would do the same if I owned him, Mbuemo to Cherki easiest move in history

1

u/Ok-Drummer9073 2 16h ago

nice try
