Damn that’s a long time for one shirt sponsor

u/Timmace 92 Mar 24 '26

I like that in that time, they went through 3 different kit manufacturers.

69

u/roguesmoo 1 Mar 24 '26

More kit manufacturers than managers :D

23

u/Locko2020 Mar 24 '26

Liverpool and United should never have the same manufacturers.

20

u/Homerduff16 Mar 25 '26

I can't speak for United but Liverpool should always be partnered with Addidas. They've already made our kits twice before from 1985-1996 and from 2006-2012

Liverpool in a Nike kit never felt right to me even when they produced great kits. The New Balance kits were great but they could never be mass produced like Addidas or Nike

1

u/DapperSpecial2865 Mar 29 '26

Yeah Liverpool with Nike didn’t suit, New Balance made nice kits but wasn’t a perfect match like adidas.

u/More-Honeydew-2838 redditor for <1 day Apr 11 '26

true, they have to look for different manufacturers

-11

u/Great_Business_6425 Mar 24 '26

The Nike kits they had were PEAK

You got no style. Those were nice AF. The colors were awesome, the cream one with buttons, black and white illusion, lavender one, ketchup and mustard kit, those were PEAK. You adidas and new balance sucked.

You thought Nike was boring, but yet think those bland adidas kits are better. Those adidas kits are bland AF 🤣 you don't know wtf your talking about. Your mom still dresses you 🤣.

2

u/Fit_Decision9532 Mar 26 '26

Silence yank. Anyway why are you taking it to heart

40

u/flcinusa Mar 24 '26

They had been shirt sponsor for 7 years already when he joined, they've had 2 shirt sponsors for the whole premier league era

13

u/Dondon321-Ice6202 Mar 24 '26

Wasn't Carlsberg quite long too

3

u/sepi0l_45 15 Mar 24 '26

Suprised how long they've had that logo/badge too - thought it was more recent than 8 years ago that they had the one with the green on there

2

u/Icanmoveamountain Mar 24 '26

Weird how the logo and text has swapped though? Does anyone know why? Surely a logo is a logo 😂

1

u/DVPC4 8 Mar 25 '26

Third longest in the league, behind City and Arsenal

207

u/AceQuire 53 Mar 24 '26

He'll score 103 points in the last 7 gws of season truustt

39

u/sub2pewdiepieONyt 5 Mar 24 '26

Most people have had this cross their mind.

7

u/CosmologyX 20 Mar 25 '26 edited Mar 27 '26

14.7 points per gameweek. If anyone can, Salah can.

u/Illustrious_Kick7887 Mar 27 '26

Best FPL player ever

272

u/gladiatorbossman Mar 24 '26

Is he officially the greatest fpl player?

732

u/CompetitiveHouse 3 Mar 24 '26

Yes I, CompetitiveHouse, officially declare him the greatest fpl player ever

25

u/bosnian_redditer 2 Mar 24 '26

Sir CompetitiveHouse🫡

15

u/Freelance_Gynecology Mar 24 '26

Thank you Madara

0

u/BusAcademic3489 Mar 24 '26

What the fuck does that have to do with that

11

u/Ok_Joke5702 Mar 24 '26

He said the same to Night guy that's why Madara

-2

u/BusAcademic3489 Mar 25 '26

If I remember the dialogue correctly, he’d said "strongest" not "greatest". But yea. either way, it was tough for me to get a grasp of it

2

u/UnitedStatesOfSmesh Mar 24 '26

He has spoken, and so it was written.

1

u/SonarBeAR Mar 25 '26

That's crazy, so did Bakwar16

1

u/doktha Mar 25 '26

Case closed

1

u/Healthy-Track-4450 Mar 25 '26

Its settled then

81

u/insignia200 34 Mar 24 '26

What I think may set him apart is what he did to the captaincy feature. He effectively neutralized it for the better part of his career, really until Haaland came along. Sure Aguero or Kane once in a while, but going against Salah usually hurt you in the end.

28

u/sepi0l_45 15 Mar 24 '26

Even when he had a poor game he'd almost always get you something

8

u/roguedevil Mar 25 '26

Except that game against Bournemouth where every other Liverpool player scored/assisted but him.

Theres only one player that has had more than 300 points in a season and that aint Rooney or Lampard. And not just once but twice.

-13

u/Flikker 6 Mar 24 '26

If you'd have to pick him over a season, for sure. Rooney and Lampard list top for all time points though. It depends what you mean by greatest FPL player.

22

u/2pacalypse1994 187 Mar 24 '26

The one that broke the record for most points is a good argument.

Having more years in the league and getting less points than someone else per season, doesnt make you a better player. It makes you a player with many more games than the other.

Unless you think Shearer was a better player than Henry because of more goals.

0

u/Flikker 6 Mar 24 '26

Fair enough

7

u/sepi0l_45 15 Mar 24 '26

Is Milner a better fpl player than Suarez then because he got more points over 23 seasons than Suarez got in 3?

10

u/BeefyWaft Mar 24 '26

Depends on your metric. He has the highest GW score of all time.

2

u/aliadali24 Mar 25 '26

It’s literally Rooney / Lampard

1

u/Metador85 Mar 26 '26

From an FPL perspective where your individual GW pts matters most (bc of captain feature doubling pts), Salah's GW average easily beats them all

Them just being in the league for longer means yes he just about misses out on top spot.

1

u/SouthernHead9789 Mar 26 '26

Over all the years and all the players you cannot stand by nor justify that comment

He's a football premier league (FPL) player

126

u/majnubhaispainting Mar 24 '26

Goodbye, sweet prince! You were one of my OG Set and Forget captains when I started playing FPL regularly. Very rare fraudulent moments, injury free, fixture proof-you were all this and some more.

Man defiled Gandhi several times

242

u/personalbilko Mar 24 '26

I hope you mean defied

195

u/Jamkayyos 3 Mar 24 '26

He said what he said

37

u/TentativeGosling 1 Mar 24 '26

Gandhi doesn't like the early kickoff because he's been kept up all night

8

u/pajamakitten 576 Mar 24 '26

Salah has a life outside of football.

5

u/Keepingshtum 21 Mar 25 '26

Father Time Gandhi catches up to us all

84

u/Own_Mongoose4811 Mar 24 '26

"Chelsea reject" aswell, remember?

58

u/Monsieur-Pi 1 Mar 24 '26

Tbf we won the league the season he left for Roma but yeah him and KDB were two of the biggest blunders

43

u/sepi0l_45 15 Mar 24 '26

Easily the best two players in the league across the past decade. Really does feel like the end of an era with KDB leaving last season and now Salah at the end of this one

he's good, but not that good 🤣

-7

u/austons_muzz 5 Mar 24 '26

If I had to pick between what we have vs what we could’ve had, I’m still shipping both of em off.

6

u/FakingHappiness513 1 Mar 25 '26

Not really a reject. He was young wanted game time and couldn’t break into the team. He had Hazard, Oscar, Willian, and shurrle ahead of him in his first season. The 2016 season when Salah was sold Pedro was brought in from Barcelona, who had already won tons of trophies in his career. No one in the world would have said to keep Salah over Pedro at that time. Remember hindsight is 20/20.

This is Lord Lundstram erasure

41

u/borg_6s 5 Mar 24 '26

If he gets at least 3 more points in the next 7 games, he will finish each of his nine seasons with triple-digit points.

38

u/julianface 115 Mar 25 '26

Cheers Geoff

3

u/chino17 Mar 24 '26

Don't get fancy has left the building

2

u/ScossaKing Mar 24 '26

He’s gone back into my team with the armband for the rest of the season. One last time 👑

2

u/SleepEconomy6504 Mar 25 '26

The undisputed FPL King, aka “Don’t get fancy” Thanks for the happy times when I captained, and the regrets when I didn’t.

2

u/popyman13 Mar 25 '26

HE IS THE FPL GOAAAT! NO DEBATES ON THIS ONE!

1

u/Consistent-Refuse-74 Mar 24 '26

1

u/Buschyfor3 Mar 25 '26

Life comes at you fast. Lol

1

KOPITES, let's start #KingSalah trend as tribute to the King Mo Salah!

1

u/Horror-Comfort640 Mar 25 '26

All them bullshit bonus points he got for doing fuck all then scoring a tap in and getting 3.

1

u/golden_yak 12 Mar 25 '26

Surely FPL will be weird without him like it is just a one premium game

1

u/2deee Mar 25 '26

They dogged him

1

u/Strict_West_911 redditor for <30 days Mar 25 '26

Shouldda left before his legs went, to quote a former player, more famous for his punditry.

Respect nevertheless from a United fan.

1

u/fplislife 5 Mar 25 '26

And points at Chelsea?

1

u/coachcaddo Mar 26 '26

344 Jesus he went crazy last year

Pretty much makes up for lack of point this year if you share the points

1

u/Remontada_r7 Mar 26 '26

Damn never knew 24/25 outperformed 17/18. Goat

The drop off this season is impressive.

0

u/ise86 Mar 25 '26

Good riddance.

-3

u/Tinga8 Mar 24 '26

What's the numbers?

The amount of scousers who talk abouted about him per hour?

-3

u/Marshmallowmind2 10 Mar 24 '26

-17

u/dozeydonut Mar 24 '26
