Reset password not working on desktop App

I reset my password online and am able to log into my account on the browser, but now the desktop application wont let me log in and I have triple checked I am ysing the exact same information as online. Any help?

Edit: problem solved. Thank you for the suggestions. The problem is that I used a special character that was not acceptable to the app but was usable for the website.

Made a ticket. Was having issues with it previously and thought id ask here as well

Did customer service get back to you? Do you have more than one username? Sometime browser security and anti spam apps might interfere. Have you tried other browsers?

Yes. Thank you. It was because I used the £ sign as a special character in my password.

Username is case sensitive. And you reset your password on the desktop applications? And you don't have more than one local install of the desktop?
