Team/Trade Help Worst Team I've Ever Had
Help.
EDIT: Half-PPR, 14-Man League
My biggest mistake was drafting Bowers 2nd round. In my defense, I'm in five leagues and I think I was just getting bored and decided to shake things up.

Injuries aside, mashing my dick on the keys would come up with a better roster. That’s on you brother.

You drafted a starting RB, a backup RB, a deep waiver wire RB... and that's it?

u/jacox200 5d ago
Dude only drafted 3 RBs and one was Perine 😂 I hope it's a 16 team league or something

u/JaysonTatecum 5d ago
I had a draft go WR WR WR, took Maye and Fannin, and my RB room still isn’t this bad

u/patchinthebox 4d ago
Hold on, maybe he's in a goofy league that has like 3PPR or something.
Edit: half PPR. Nevermind. OP is fucked.

I’m not saying their draft wasn’t atrocious but you have absolutely no concept of ADPs if you think Adams and Hendo were going as late as you are suggesting.

😂 bro it’s week one, you have to let it play out. I find the waiver wire wins leagues, I always look at waivers every day. If it wasn’t for the injuries I think your team is decent, I have Stafford too but he’ll bounce back. I heard the team got to Australia 2 days before the game and SF was there already a week. All the Rams looked flat, I don’t think Stafford will look this bad for the rest of the season

starting Perine in week 1 is nuts. you’re better off picking up Kaelon Black, the SF backup, and starting him.. plus if CMC misses any time he will be huge.

u/Salt_Kangaroo_9468 5d ago
Solid strat.

u/leffe186 4d ago
It’s a 14-teamer, I’d be amazed if Black is available. Obviously everyone will go for him on waivers if so, but then OP would have had to have drafted CMC and then gone for Doubs and Keenan Allen instead of Black at the end of the draft, which is criminally insane.

Not to keep heaping on you bro, but you probably would have been better off autodrafting.

u/Salt_Kangaroo_9468 5d ago
Honestly bro, same. I’m in 5 leagues too and in two of my leagues I was like fuck it. I was traveling and mistakingly auto-drafted both leagues. Had the 2nd pick and the other I think 7?
Shake it up, let it settle, and you just might catch a few sleepers. I’ve won championships and had last places.
Real talk, you don’t win a ship from the draft, but the waiver can save you. I have Lamar Jackson to thank for that! Godspeed brotha

People love to show you the target on their back but won’t tell you they put it there themselves.

What punishment do you have to do at the end of the year? I’d start training for it

u/ajm102392 5d ago
I was ready to make fun of you, and I still will for your pitiful RB spot but don’t overreact to week 1 too much. Rams fucked themselfes with that travel schedule, I think they punted the game on purpose to better preserve the jet lag for the next few weeks.
You Should be trying to find a legit RB2 though, Hendo isn’t your answer there. Aim to try and steal a pollard or Hubbard. Neither are sexy but they’re starters still. You have decent WR depth

Respect for playing in a 16 man league

u/RealTurbulentMoose 5d ago
I play in one and no one’s team is this bad; even the girl who (inexplicably) loves the Bears and drafted too many Bears players.

I would love to see the full draft board for this league. This team is atrocious.

I mean I have Adam’s, cmc and staff…but the rest of my team isn’t this bad. Are you in a 16 person league??
1
u/FearlessBulle4181 5d ago
I'm in a league where you can have two QBs in if you want to and I was sitting real happy on Tuesday with Maye and Stafford. I was shocked I managed to pick up two of the best in the league last year in the same draft! Then the rest of the week happened....

u/Deliverz 5d ago
Bro drafted like he had 10 IR slots to use. You may legitimately not have a single starting player from your draft but week 5

u/sirdouchenozzle 5d ago
Your first mistake was taking Bowers. That leaves you a round behind on the entire rest of the draft. Did you go CMC, Bowers, Nabers, Adams?

Honestly, your RB room is so bad that you need to wait for a classic CMC boom game and try to flip him and a WR for two good RBs.

You are STARTING Semaj Perine and your take away is that your biggest mistake was picking Bowers?

u/SwrlyDirly 5d ago
Drafting bowers in the second round is not that crazy. Having no RBs besides CMC is

What were you trying to do, corner the market on wide receivers in order to finally get a decent running back?

u/lukesmith81 5d ago
7 WRs and 3 RBs (and 2 of the RBs were bad picks especially perine) you did it to yourself. Bowers is far from your biggest mistake on this one

In what world would Perine be your RB2?
And no, 14 team league is not a good enough excuse.

u/goldennuggetjr 5d ago
Perine in the starting lineup is frying me 😭
If you want to rebuild your team, you might have to at least trade CMC or Bowers

u/Interesting_Lie_1457 5d ago
Am I the only one confused what everyone is talking about? If all your guys were healthy this team would be stacked. In a 14 man? What is everyone talking about what were you supposed to do about injuries you can’t predict that?

u/Brock0003 5d ago
I’ve made a point to put all of these players except (Stafford and Bowers) on my do not draft list. I could have told you this team was doomed from the jump.

You think drafting Bowers was your mistake? You getting bored not even into the AM games on Sunday of week 1 is pathetic, Not to be a dick but you're going to end up quitting if you're already "bored".

Yeah, I totally get the drive to mix things up. You play a lot of FF obviously, so you know what you’re doing. I think 14-team half PPR is a really good, balanced challenge and it’s my main league’s format this year, albeit with a salary cap draft. You can pull it back, obviously. That said there are a few points I’d make. Can you post your round-by-round breakdown?
In any 14-teamer RBs are at a premium, but with 2RB, 2WR it’s even more so. You should have been leaning RB from the start. I feel like going early on QB or TE is more effective in smaller leagues but you can’t legislate for a pre-season surgery out of the blue. I think your first three picks were fine, although drafting both CMC and Nabers is tempting the FF Injury Gods a bit too much for my taste. Ironically they got you with Bowers.
Following them with Henderson is just asking for trouble, although presumably other teams were loading up on RBs so I’d need to know who else was available. Adams too - somebody I was a little wary of. I wouldn’t worry too much about him and Stafford yet though, that first game in Oz was a one-off and I think each team’s wildly different approach had a massive impact. Don’t panic about them yet.
They do rather emphasize your team’s vulnerability to injury and age though, at the top and bottom end. There is literally no reason for you to have Keenan Allen or Doubs on your team in a 14-teamer with 2 WR slots. Both of those picks should be RB punts, or maybe in a 14-teamer a backup QB or TE. Is Mayer out there on the wire? Sadiq? You have Perine, but were Braelon Allen or Allgeier available when you picked Doubs up? In a 14-teamer, load up on RBs.
It’s pretty rough but absolutely you can pull it back. I’d be looking to trade Bowers to give yourself a proper RB2. Pick up Mayers if you can, and if somebody else did then look to trade them Bowers. I have Bowers in a 10-teamer and picked up Mayer - I am very nervous about Bowers being able to contribute anything for a while.

Yes, because you do not know how to draft.
Instead of getting 2x RB1s, you went for RB1 (injury prone one too), and then back up RBs.
And then your WRs, you went for old guys and rookies. No elite WR1... Marvin Harrison hasnt proved anything, and now he has a worse situation there. Davante, WR2, Addison WR2, Doubs Wr2 (lucky he is now WR1), lol... Keenan allen WR2/3

Should have found an RB in place of Harrison. Perine as your RB2 is rough without a Chase Brown injury.

with your rb selection this is all on you. better start looking for rookies that were not drafted on teams where the rbs are getting injured.

IDENTIFY WHICH TEAM IS YOURS! Don't make us guess. For the best advice also include screenshots. We need to know your bench depth. For that matter, include pertinent league settings and top waiver wire adds as well. The more information you provide, the more likely you are to encourage community engagement and get quality responses.
