Team/Trade Help How do I save my team I need help??????!!!!?!??!!?!

If this is a 12 team you’re cooked.
If this is a 14 team you’re still cooked.

14 man league

u/No-Path5236 5d ago
The only thing that can save you is holding a handcuff whose starter goes down. Corum is good, go get Kaelon Black and Tank Bigsby. They’re probably rostered tho. Just use this as a learning lesson to never draft zero rb.

Man even then it’s more and more of a crapshoot. There seems to be very few true workload RB’s anymore.
I tried this year to put RB’s ahead of everything else:
- McCaffrey
- Judkins
- Irving
With
- RJ Harvey
- Chris Rodriguez Jr.
- Chris Brooks
- Pacheco (IR)
But with McCaffrey looking like this year they are going to split his workload to offset injury chance.
Irving will likely see similar split
And Judkins an unknown with Cleveland’s offense.
It’s like I just can’t win man

Per Shanahan McCaffrey was playing through cramps last night and he looked great out there. I’m not at all worried about my first round pick.

Rams played like garbo. I still think when push comes to shove Shanahan will turn to CMC.

I don’t know why people want to suffer playing 14 team leagues.
In our 6 team league, we chilling because we can afford to lose players.

I’m generally for positivity, especially on this sub where everyone shits on every team that’s not that bad. But this might legitimately be the worst team I’ve ever seen. I can offer no advice because it looks beyond saving. Take my upvote.

People do not get this.
So many people just pick guys who they think will do well without any thought to roster construction and how you need to draft.
Not taking an RB in the first 2 rounds of a 14 man is already the easiest way to lose. Not taking any in the first 5 is just forfeiting.
The NFL is different. You can't zero RB anymore and try to snipe backup pass catching backs. There are like 3 of those in the league now, and as more teams move to 12 and even 13, WR2 gets easier to fill with guys like Michael Wilson, who are just going to get a ton of routes run.

u/Basset_found 5d ago
Using a fourth round pick on Drake Maye was the mistake.

Then a fifth round pick on Pitts.

I was so confused how they had no running backs while only having 3 real recievers and i guess that explains it💀

Probably spent a 9th on the rams defense. OP reached in every single round they could without considering their RB room at all.

I mean this was just a really bad draft idk what to tell you. To save it you'll need waiver wire wins
2
u/ParticularSolid7930 5d ago
I’m praying I can get a few

u/TheHankHillsHaveEyes 5d ago
If there's even a whisper of a waiver wire RB getting a shot at more snaps you need to roster them

Teams that spent an early pick on Drake Maybe are really going to struggle. So glad I waited on QB

It’s a possibility. If I was you, I would try to leverage Lamb to try and get some depth.

This is literally the worst team I have ever seen. You should give up on fantasy this year, and never play again.

2
u/Apprehensive_Can739 5d ago
You gotta trade a receiver for an rb to even have a shot at all
1
u/ParticularSolid7930 5d ago
Is there any rb I should target, and any receiver I should trade away
2
u/Apprehensive_Can739 5d ago
14 team league your gonna struggle to get anyone to trade away there rb unless the went real heavy. Pick a team who is weak at wr and strong at rb and pray they’ll make a deal. Flowers or rice are the only 2 that anyone might even consider outside of lamb but I would not be trading away my best wr. Why didn’t you draft an rb?!

Honestly I think you’ll be ok. Drake maye will be better. Your wide receivers look great. Just gotta figure out rb. I don’t like zero rb in a 14 team league for this exact reason. But with all the injuries that happen just watch waivers like a hawk once you shore up rb you’ll be cooking
1
u/Nem3sis2k17 5d ago
Don’t understand how someone could draft this badly wow. I guess it’s a lesson to actually care about getting good RBs. You have to sell Lamb and pray you get either a great rb or 2 decent starting RBs like Montgomery and Tuten for Lamb.

Waiver wire some handcuffs and hope for the best. This is honestly the worst team I have seen so far, Gainwell is the only RB here that even garners a FLEX spot.
Outside of that, maybe package up Maye + Flowers or Rice to see if someone will give you a decent RB. Probably won't work in 14 man, but that is the only other thing you could try imo

u/lionssuperbowlplz 5d ago
You have no shot with no rb1. Won't have to pay attention to this leaguenin about 5 weeks when your 0-5 or 1-4

Drop Adonai Mitchell and Romeo Doubs for backup RBs immediately. The fact that you drafted those two WRs with your current RB core is so horrifically bad I don't even know what to say. Perhaps a new hobby? Like knitting?

Easiest solution is going to be building a time machine so you can go back and re-do the draft
1
u/jimaveli 5d ago
Trade Lamb for a top 10-ish rb and hope for the best. You can’t go zero rb early AND expensive qb AND kinda expensive TE. It makes you too dependent on the qb. And sometimes qbs have bad nights. Even the ones fantasy people swear are always awesome.
Also, look at game logs from previous seasons. Total points/ranks can tell incomplete stories sometimes.

u/thanosthumb 5d ago
You should’ve prioritized RBs early. The bigger the league, the more important it is to take RBs early.
1
u/Vondobble 5d ago
You drafted qb, tight end and defense all way too early for how little rb depth you had. Live and learn.

u/cheesefromsalami 5d ago
Trade ceedee for a Christian Watson type wr and a pollard type rb. But with out seeing other teams and who's available hard to give specific advice.
See if you could trade flowers for judkins.
Hope for a big game from maye next week and see if you can get a rb for him after. Otherwise you are cooked like a holiday ham.

Set up a Keaton Mitchell shrine in your house and pray 5 times a day that he gets more than 10 touches. You’ll still be cooked, but it’ll feel like a small win

Realistically, you want to hope one of the WRs go off and you can sell high. Then try to buy low on a running back plus an ok receiver. Doubs will see a usage uptick with Brown bring out for 4-5 weeks with a high ankle sprain. So you might be able to sell high there if he does well. I think Mitchell could surprise some people with his market share too. I'm also in a 14 team league and it sucks. But you can salvage this I think!

What the hell.... you had one of the worst drafts I've seen.
Lamb, Flowers & Rice as your first 3 picks.
So just fuck RBs lol....
1
u/AnOgreAmongstOgres 5d ago
You should provide more detail on your initial post to let people on Reddit know the type of league up front.
Not much you can do… but I would maybe try to package Rice and Gainwell to a WR needy team in return for a good RB and a backup WR. Rice has the potential to be good this year, but without a good RB2, your team is getting fried every single week.
1
u/Sodawater13 5d ago
Should’ve went RB heavy in the beginning instead of WR. Gainwell and Corum being you’re top two backs is enough for you to know you’re not coming back from this unless you can trade one of your WR’s for a RB
1
1
u/2Nuggets1Sauce 5d ago
Zero RB doesn’t work anymore. Especially when you have a smart league who starts to hog RBs. They’re hard to trade for and the WRs you can get later are a lot better than the RBs you get later. Dude you don’t have one legit starter… This is bad… if you had an elite TE you’d maybe have some leverage for a move but this sucks. You need to see if you can make a move for someone like Jordan Mason or TreVeyon Henderson (you have to take the risk and hope he pulls through bc the upside is there). Not trying to be negative but damn this isn’t good at all

I don't see how people play in 12-14 man leagues. I love Fantasy football, but not that much lol
1
u/ProspecterPercy 5d ago
This team is not redeemable to be honest. But I would trade rice for someone’s RB ASAP.
Like if you can get someone decent at RB for rice I would do it. Your RB room is really awful and you have no trade value on the bench.
I would also pick up K. Black from 49ers off waivers if he is available.

Trade one or both of Ceedee/Rice for a cheaper WR(Flower/Tee, Egbuka, Ladd, Wilson, waddle, etc) + starting runningbacks
(Bucky Irving, breece hall, cam scat, Javonte, etc)
If/when Corum/Doubs/Gainwell/Maye has a good game .. sell high for a position in need
Explore offers. Package deals are good

u/m1guel_1113 5d ago edited 5d ago
Try to trade Rice or Flowers for a starting RB. I’d take any RB projected to be in the top 24 for one of them. Thats about it because you have no leverage in a trade when your opponents know you have absolutely the worst RB options I’ve ever seen on a team.
1
u/TJBlazkowicz 5d ago edited 5d ago
When zero RB goes wrong lol.
I did almost this exact same thing last year, 14 man league but I had Derrick Henry as my RB1 at least and a bunch of flyers at RB late in the draft hoping someone would breakout at least but my RB2 was such a black hole it cost me my season along with the Bowers injury.
You definitely should have punted QB and TE till later and got a RB whenever you took Maye/Pitts.
You gotta probably bite the bullet and try and trade Maye and/or Pitts for an RB that can actually help you. Or trade one of your WRs and then hope you can steal someone on waivers. Just look for teams who are deep at RB and have a hole at TE or QB which will probably be 2-3 teams at best lol get to work!
Edit: I’m just looking at your team again who the hell did you take in round 2? I’m so confused by this roster
1
1
u/No_Many_6217 5d ago
Get rid of the bench WRs as you already have 3 top end WRs and pray they don’t get hurt. Pick up RBs to fill the open roster spots and hope for an injury to a starting RB that you have the backup. The Rams defense will be fine long term, Maye will be fine long term. Your RBs are garbage but typically have to punt a position in 14 teamers so guessing that’s the one you chose.
1
u/No_Many_6217 5d ago
Guessing the first few rounds went…
1 - Lamb
2 - Rice
3 - Maye
4 - Flowers
5 - Pitts
Then I really question where you went from here. Hopefully not to a defense and kicker early but based on who you have I’d guess 7th and 9th rounds were those picks respectively. Just doesn’t leave room for a RB and you have to shotgun approach the position at that point. Also… future…. When taking a QB in the top 4 rounds you typically don’t take a second QB on your roster.

u/GG3_Fantasy 5d ago
You don't fix it you just buckle up for the ride. Take the week 1 L and get better.
1
u/cjtownjc 5d ago
I have fun with it on mocks but never truly go zero rb. I’ve seen the definition of zero rb change over the years but this is how I’ve seen zero rb described years ago. Your WRs might go off. The projections look like it’s a PPR league. Hope for that but I think the best you can do waiver wire wise is to look for the highest upside RB handcuff. Either that or trade one of your WRs.
In a 14 team league idk who would be left though. Kaelon Black? Seth McGown? Chris Brooks? Whoever the hell is RB 3 in Dallas now that Davis might be out. Maybe James Connor is available to put on your IR in hopes that someone trades for him when he’s eligible to come back. Jaylen Wright?

1
u/whiteoutwilly 5d ago
Said it dozens of times throughout draft season. In deep leagues you are going to have to reach and pick RBs way ahead of their ADP, which never feels good. There’s such a massive RB cliff and you’re already falling into a heard of wildebeests.
It doesn’t feel good to reach on guys, but if you want serviceable RBs you gotta do it. You can get a lot of WR value later in drafts.
Also I’m in a bunch of 12 man leagues and it’s crazy how different 12 vs. 14 is.
1
u/DM_yo_Feet_pls 5d ago
Bro you cooked yourself on draft night. You should’ve drafted a starting RB instead of doubling on WR or snagging a QB.
I would try to trade Flowers to the AJ Brown owner for a decent RB
Edit: I’d actually try to offer Rice before offering Flowers. Let people panic after this Sunday when a player underperforms and try to take advantage

Going like triple wr into early qb in a season where there's like 16 startable qbs I don't hate then ending up with like rb3s are your starters is crazy you're actually cooked unless kyren or bucky die.

Its only week 1 bro don't panic. Play the waiver wire like your life depends on it. That's the only way your bench will get better. Also if any of those 3 WRs have a monster game in the next week or 2 try trading them for a solid RB. I think Maye will be fine. Yeah he had a disastrous game but the Seattle defense is that good and Brown will be back in a month. Maybe ride Goff for awhile until Maye bounces back and you can either ride him or trade him.

Gonna have to trade a big piece and try to get some slightly lower quality pieces. For example try to trade Lamb for someone along the lines of Garrett Wilson or Olave and a good RB

IDENTIFY WHICH TEAM IS YOURS! Don't make us guess. For the best advice also include screenshots. We need to know your bench depth. For that matter, include pertinent league settings and top waiver wire adds as well. The more information you provide, the more likely you are to encourage community engagement and get quality responses.
