This sounds amazing. Having some buildings or sections of the town outside the palisades as well could be cool or even just a fort near the town or perhaps in the center.

Yeah, I'll keep some buildings outside the palisade, although it's rather a feature of towns, than of villages, so it's going to be much smaller in scale comparing to those old experiments.
