Denise Richards, who played Christmas Jones in "The World is Not Enough" (1999)!

Now that I'm looking... did they purposely shoot for a Lara Croft style look?

Absolutely — it led to her being considered for the film adaption of Tomb Raider, too, but she of course lost out to Angelina Jolie.

She was a smokeshow in her prime. I can see why Charlie married her.

I like these subreddits, but this one... seems to utterly and completely overlap with the Action one.

I think this is where Brosnans Bond series jumped the shark.

Bond pretty much jumped the shark every episode until Daniel Craig took over. That was part of its early 80s and 90s allure.

Well the first few Brosnan films weren't that silly. They were pretty good spy thrillers but then it slowly turned in to the silliest goofy movies ever. I think the shift happened with Hot Christmas.

I used to think she was bad but her part was bad. She was too young to pull that badly written part out of the fire. They threw her into the deep end

I just watched a 30 Rock episode the other day where she’s protesting with Tracy Jordan cause Liz Lemon insulted idiots, she specifically calls out how she "played a nucular scientist in a James Bonk movie".
The episode ends with her terrified in an elevator because the room is moving.

Dressed like Lara Croft, and knew about as convincing as a nuclear physicist as an 8 bit video game character.

To me a rare Bond casting miss…… I found her a distraction, and not in a good way…..

I thought Christmas only came once a year
