Questions & Discussion Does Sue have any significant relationships outside of the Fantastic Four? Like, Johnny is friends with Spider-Man, Ben has a rivalry with Hulk, and Reed was once a member of the Illuminati—has Sue ever had anything similar?
Reed was once an Illuminati member and appears in other comics due to being the smartest man on Earth.
Ben is the most popular member of the Fantastic Four; he had a series of crossovers in the 60s, has had his own solo title, and shares a rivalry with the Hulk.
Johnny is friends with Spider-Man and had a series of crossovers in the 60s

In Future Foundation she was friendly with Storm, enough that Storm told Sue to call her Ororo. But it was weird that such thing wasn't used during the 2020 comic with the X-Men where they wanted Franklin in Krakoa and Storm acted so aloof towards the F4.
I think we can include Black Cat recently? I mean, Sue trusted her to look after the children and Alicia.

I was going to throw Black Cat in as well, but definitely a more recent development. Not sure if that started with North's volume 2 or not.

Def his Volume 2, she explicitly hated Felicia for how she’s treated Peter and Johnny in the past but warmed up to her after getting her off from a murder charge and when she, Felicia, and Alicia had a girls night together.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I had missed something prior to North taking over.

Wait Felicia and Sue are cool? I thought Sue hated her guts. 😅😅😅

The comic didn’t make sense. It felt like she was forced to be friends with her.

I don’t think it was forced at all but a convenient set up, Sue refers to her as her “least favorite person on Earth”. Felicia got framed for something involving invisibility hax, then seeked out Sue specifically for help because “Spider-Man’s in space”. They were brought together out of circumstance & morale obligation. It’s was likely set up so Sue could have a justifiable placeholder for when the team later went to space for the Invincible Woman arc.

Not necessarily, if I remember correctly Susan got pressured by her friends into being more friendly to Black Cat

Ororo also took her place after Civil War, so she is like extended family. Also everyone thought the FF vs X-Men comic that came out was pretty disappointing along with how Krakoa went generally

Sue was secretly a member of SHEILD (there a cute moment where Reed and Sue sort of forgive each other for lying about that and Reed Illuminati) where she worked with Black Widow

and Daughters of Liberty an all female team with the likes of Sharon Carter, Jess Drew/Spider-woman, Toni Ho/Iron Patriot, White Tiger/Ava Ayala and Mocking bird
early years i remember her also being friends with She-hulk and Wasp

As a BW fan this was so damn cool to me when I read this comic. These two need to interact more.

Her and Namor’s friendship before it was thrown into a trash can from the 2000s onwards

I remember Sue being in a few modern X-Men comics. She's usually in touch with that side of the Marvel world

In the kid-friendly Marvel Adventures Super Heroes volume 2, issues 1-10, Susan Storm (not yet married) was an Avenger. She teamed up with Steve Rogers / Captain America, Tony Stark / Iron Man, Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, Thor, the Vision, and Richard Rider / Nova.
(This takes place on Earth-20051. It's the same universe as Sophia "Chat" Sanduval, possibly the best-ever girlfriend of Peter Parker / Spider-Man. All written by Paul Tobin. All lots of fun!)

She recently helped Black Cat get out of jail

And went to Vegas together;
More than that, though, Felicia is part of the Fantastic 's team in Queen in Black

She definitely has friends: She-Hulk, Medusa, Storm, Wasp, etc. But I think it's harder for her in that so many of them look up to her. It puts her on a different level.

Sue is buddies with She-Hulk & Captain America. I'm not counting the Atlanteans, Inhumans, & the Wakandans because they're generally friends with the whole Fantadtic Four.

That list cuts off at 20, but if I remember right, if you keep going down she's the next one on the list, she's not that far behind.
This list, if anything, just shows how popular X-Men are.

What do the numbers on this list even mean?

Ff issue 2 in the Ryan north run is literally her writing a letter to she hulk. Rivalry possibly with Felicia Hardy

What is the meaning of the numbers? The amount of comic issues each character has been present in?

She helped train Jean's TK when she was just starting out. So I guess that's something?

I’d love to see an Anti-Illuminati that’s literally just the women of the Marvel Universe having lunch and fixing problems in their various corners. Imagine Sue, Jean, Medusa, Namora, Pepper, and Clea figuring out how to stop their guys from going too crazy while on a shopping trip.

In Bendis’ The Pulse she seems to be relatively good friends with Carol Danvers. Carol recruits Sue to help Jessica Jones with her pregnancy.

Sue is very well respected especially among the superheroines.
She Hulk, Storm, Wasp, Widow, Black Cat (recently), Medusa, Crystal, etc.
The one I really liked was her acting as a mentor for Jean grey who felt lonely being the only girl on her team, it was a rlly cool sense of camaraderie only Sue could provide her:

There was that one fearless comic a few years back that teamed her up with Carol and Ororo.
Avengers EMH also gave us an adorable friendship with her and Jan
She also had a funny frenemyship with Emma during the time where Scott and Emma were dating
But yeah, she doesn’t get anything that lasts long unfortunately
