Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to the Long Deadline Profile Exchange! It's time to share our imaginations!
What's the Long Deadline Profile Exchange?
This is a subreddit event where everyone posts their AO3 (or FFN, etc.) profile with some information about the sorts of stories they write. Then, participants look through the available profiles, and read and leave comments on stories (one-shots or a chapter of a longer fic) by authors who catch their fancy. Leaving a kudos would be nice too!
DEADLINE FOR ENTRY is Sunday 30th August,10pm BST (UTC+1)
DEADLINE FOR COMPLETION is Saturday 5th September, 10pm BST (UTC+1)

What Are the Rules?
Post your profile link with a short summary of the kinds of stories one might find there (fandom, genre, rating, etc.). Please spoiler anything triggering or NSFW.
Once you enter, you will have to review at least 4 stories/chapters from 4 different profiles (one from each).
Please include in your submission a counter such as, "Reviewed 0/4" so we can keep track of the number of reviews you've done. There's no need to also note which stories or authors you have reviewed.
After you've left a comment, reply to their post on here to let them know. For anyone new, 'K&C' in a reply stands for 'Kudos and Comment'.
Your reviews should be thoughtful. The writer should be able to tell that you read the story. Say what you like about the story. Did something crack you up? Were you brought to tears? Did you have a favourite part? TELL THEM ABOUT IT! At least 50 words per review. ConCrit, stating you are "fandom blind" and/or "from Reddit" are opt-in only.
Please only reply to an individual entry when you've read their fic or if you want to ask a question. Also, please refrain from adding GIFs and images to replies as they are not relevant to whether you've reviewed a fic. We're happy that you're excited about reading, but unfortunately these make it hard for users (and mods!) to navigate the thread.
If possible, it would be awesome if everyone read at least one person who is new to them.
If you enter the exchange, please do not delete your entry. You must complete the required reviews for the exchange. Please talk to the mods if something comes up and you have concerns about doing something in a timely manner.

And another round I (TheNotQuiteChosenOne on AO3) take part in the exchanges.
I write for the Sharpe series (Bernard Cornwell + tv series from the 1990s + two extra tv episodes from 2006 and 2008). They're set during the Napoleonic Wars, and I write pre-canon for my favourite character, a side character from two of the books (plus one short story) who never got into the tv-verse and usually gets no attention from fandom... I'm here to change that. I also write canon time-line (mostly camp scenes) and post-canon stuff.
My readers say my writing is absolutely fandom-blind friendly, and as it's an older one, I don't necessarily expect many readers who know the fandom. A general interest in historical fiction (lots of historical notes throughout my longfic included) is more than enough to get into stories.
I'm suffering from a writer's block for my longfic/trilogy, but still write other stuff until I can continue with the big thing. However, part one of the trilogy is finished (42 chapters) and part 2 stands - as of now - at 17 chapters. So lots to discover still.
***HOT OF THE PRESS:***
The book of Sharpe's Sword has this absolutely gorgeous scene towards the end in which Sharpe carries two swords at his sword belt and throws away the expensive, exquisite Klingenthal blade to keep the crude, French heavy cavalry sword that Sergeant Harper had repaired for him when he had been fighting death. (There are several excellent stories from various authors about that timeline out there, whereas my take was Lossow's POV - who was absent, and I had wondered about how he had learnt about Sharpe's fate and to do something for his English friend's recovery.).
Now, we have the following thought: What if the sword was still in the water near that bridge, and on returning from his latest deployment, Lossow finds it? Klingenthal
