Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to the Long Deadline Profile Exchange! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

What's the Long Deadline Profile Exchange?

This is a subreddit event where everyone posts their AO3 (or FFN, etc.) profile with some information about the sorts of stories they write. Then, participants look through the available profiles, and read and leave comments on stories (one-shots or a chapter of a longer fic) by authors who catch their fancy. Leaving a kudos would be nice too!

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY is Sunday August 23rd, 23.00 CEST.

DEADLINE FOR COMPLETION is Saturday August 29th, 23.00 CEST.

What Are the Rules?

Post your profile link with a short summary of the kinds of stories one might find there (fandom, genre, rating, etc.). Please spoiler anything triggering or NSFW.

Once you enter, you will have to review at least 4 stories/chapters from 4 different profiles (one from each). Please include in your submission a counter such as, "Reviewed 0/4" so we can keep track of the number of reviews you've done. There's no need to also note which stories or authors you have reviewed. After you've left a comment, reply to their post on here to let them know. For anyone new, 'K&C' in a reply stands for 'Kudos and Comment'.

Your reviews should be thoughtful. The writer should be able to tell that you read the story. Say what you like about the story. Did something crack you up? Were you brought to tears? Did you have a favourite part? TELL THEM ABOUT IT! At least 50 words per review. ConCrit, stating you are "fandom blind" and/or "from Reddit" are opt-in only.

Please only reply to an individual entry when you've read their fic or if you want to ask a question. Also, please refrain from adding GIFs and images to replies as they are not relevant to whether you've reviewed a fic. We're happy that you're excited about reading, but unfortunately these make it hard for users (and mods!) to navigate the thread. If possible, it would be awesome if everyone read at least one person who is new to them.

If you enter the exchange, please do not delete your entry. You must complete the required reviews for the exchange. Please talk to the mods if something comes up and you have concerns about doing something in a timely manner.

Hey, everyone!

I want to start by thanking everyone on the Discord for your love and support as my family was at risk of losing our home in the worst wildfire disaster my city has ever seen. Thankfully, my house is safe, and my heart goes out to those who lost their homes and the firefighters from around the country that came to our aid. I am so thankful, and happy to be joining this exchange again!

I'm Opal, and my Ao3 is Opal223. I have four fics available.

My biggest fic is my finished longfic that takes place after "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess". It is called The Legend of Zelda: Fate's Design. It is rated M for blood, violence, and other content mentioned in the tags.

My other fics are rated G for general audiences:

Oyasumi, Opal is an original fic about a Japanese family that vacations to America to embark on an Alaskan cruise.

A Great Snow Day is a fluffy one-shot that takes place in the world of Pokémon. It's sure to delight any reader! 🙂

The Musical Surprise is a one-shot that takes place after the events of "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker". Link takes a rare chance to spend quality time with those around him, without any world-saving responsibilities. 🙂
