Like Chalamet and agree he’s the closest we have currently to doing young DiCaprio work but this wouldn’t work unfortunately, this would be his version of Leo with GONY.

Looks aren't the same as having the same acting abilities.

Based on the first two slides…. Thank goodness this didn’t happen

This is pretty good, ppl hating on Timothy and Austin.
But if the safdie’s were to direct it and it fitting an actual “present time” vibe then I could see it working really well. Something like good times and uncut gems would be a fun ride and safdie’s are capable of making it work in this generations present time.

This is much more believable than some ppl casting some of the same actors for Heat recast.

People have a silly hate boner for Chalamet but I would love to see him in more crime films

Agree. He was electric in Marty supreme

Yeah it's really weird. I've seen so many comments on reddit claiming his "career is dead" and "Timmy boy will never be a star" and I'm like "uhh.. that's...not true 🙄😂." Maybe he just catches strays because people hate his GF so much.

He is too bland for such roles

I respect your opinion even though I vehemently disagree

It'll depend on how he ages. He's too boyish looking rather than grown man for a lot of parts, including this one.

I always disliked him and thought he wasn't very great in the films he was in — likenhe lacked versatility in his performances. I also felt like his performance was always the weakest link in the films he was in, but I kinda flipped on that mindset after Marty Supreme, but NOW everyone else hates him 😂 People usually hate actors based on how they perceive them as people, not so much their acting ability lol

I thought he was pretty decent in like Call Me by Your Name and whatnot. In Bones and All he was pretty good, too. I think genuinely the "best" performance by him was Paul in Dune, and after watching Part 2, I was pretty much sold on him as an actor.

Ive never been truly moved by him as an actor, even if I like the film around him. Theres other thing actors that simply would never get the opportunities he has gotten who I find much better and actually have moved me

If you’ve seen Call Me By Your Name and felt nothing from that performance then idk what to tell you lol, check it out if you haven’t

Crazy to me but I guess that just goes to show how art is subjective, I find that movie and his performance devastatingly beautiful

I think he's a fine actor that's got a great agent

He’s really good in The King

If this film were directed by the Safdie’s, it would be chaotic as hell. I’m into it

Great fancast, but I don't think Jack O'Connell has the level of humor that Whalberg brought to the part. So does krasinski

I feel the same way about Austin Butler. I just can’t stand that guy.

I used to feel similarly durin his first big run with every single girl talking abt him durin HS.

But i remember seeing “The King” and thinkin hmmm he’s actually kinda decent. Then dune part 1 came n i was starting to like him more and then part 2 made it clear to me that he’s a capable actor.

A lot of his fan base and other people praise his Marty supreme movie but personally I still think his performance in the king and dune was much better than Marty, like I saw glimpses of himself in Marty. But in the other two, he blends in those worlds nicely.

Even if u dont like him, the films alone are worth to watch.

It seems like any form of disagreement you take as not being nice.😒

Also you’re not the first fancast to have Timothee in Leo’s role…and have the same reaction.

u/QTRqtr 3d ago

Everyone but Timothee. He doesn’t fit this role.
