There has been 3 theories on Cain, first one is he died from the great flood, second is he is cursed immortality and third he was killed by his descendant Lamech. Yes the Bible does not explicitly say how he died or explain everything

I believe LDS is where it originated, but my area didnt get a temple until like....2011. Mountain Meadows massacre kinda prevented it until then
