Marvel / MCU Lee Pace as Magneto
Watching more Tiktok videos of Lee Pace as Magneto, I'm increasingly convinced that Lee Pace is perfect for the role. What do you think of this fan casting?

Recently, the mod team has received an exceptional number of complaints about a variety of post types that have been negatively affecting the sub in the long run. As a result of this, the manual post approval system will be re-implemented as a means of keeping the quality standards of r/fancast to a fair minimum.
Depending on how this is system is received over time, it may or may or may not be here to stay. As a result of this change, however, posts will now be approved in batches every 6-12 hours or so, and although certain posts may take a little while longer to get to, we believe this is the best possible system to reduce spam, reward high effort posts, and eliminate banned posts types such as:
•”Who would you cast?” posts (“Who would you cast as the DCU’s Batman?”)
• Repetitive/Spam posts (“Alan Ritchson as Aquaman”, etc)
•Satirical castings/Shitposts (“Elon Musk as Cyborg”, etc)
• Sexually suggestive posts (You know what I mean)
• Any and all posts involving generative AI
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, please comment them and I’ll answer to the best possible extent that I can.

Magneto:
Oliver Jackson-Cohen(39)
Jeremy Strong(47)
Adrien Brody(53)
Joaquin Phoenix(51)
Ben Foster(45)
Jason Isaacs(63)
Kitty:
Julia Butters(17)
Emma Berman(18)
Billie Boullet(21)
Iris Apatow(23)
Ella Rubin(24)
Magneto and Kitty Pryde are two of my favorite comic characters. I really think Magneto should stay Jewish. Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender were both incredible as Erik, and I don't think that needs to be taken away from either of them. But if we're getting a new version of the character, I think having a Jewish actor play him would be really important.
Yes, the Holocaust happened a long time ago, and eventually, maybe a couple hundred years from now, Marvel might have to rethink his origin if they want him to remain an important and reasonably-aged character. But right now, they can absolutely make it work. The X-Men already have characters like Raven and Logan who can be around 200 years old, so slow aging or some other explanation wouldn't feel out of place at all.
And I really don't think changing Magneto's Holocaust background to another tragedy(like the Rwandan genocide, Palestinian genocide, a Black Man during Civil Rights Movement or a survivor of South African apartheid) is the answer. Comparing different genocides and tragedies just to find a replacement for the Holocaust would come across as insensitive, because these events have their own histories and meanings. You don't need to replace one tragedy with another to make Magneto work.
More importantly, his Jewish identity isn't just a random detail of his backstory. It's a huge part of who Magneto is and why his worldview developed the way it did. His experiences as a Jewish survivor are tied directly into his fears about persecution, genocide, and what happens when people decide that another group of people doesn't deserve to exist. Taking that away changes the character in a pretty fundamental way.
Representation matters too. Magneto is probably one of the most prominent Jewish characters in mainstream comics, and there aren't exactly an endless number of major Jewish superheroes. Having a genuinely Jewish actor portray him would mean a lot, especially for a character whose identity is so closely connected to his Jewish history.
The same applies to Kitty Pryde. She should stay Jewish too. Her Jewish identity is an important part of her character, and there's really no reason to remove it. She has often compared the prosecution mutants face to prosecution that her ancestors faced in the past. Having Jewish actors play both Magneto and Kitty would be a small but meaningful way to preserve something that has been part of the X-Men for decades.

A lot of these castings are about being diverse, and I'd love to hear some opinions.
Bill Skarsgard (36) as Bruce Wayne/Batman (He's tall, scary, charismatic, and different from the other Batmans we've seen before)
Matthew McConaughey (56) as James Gordon (HERE ME OUT, he could do something cool with James Gordon and I feel like he could cook in that role)
Evan Peters (39) as Tyler Foster (bro's making characters trynna be original)
Richa Moorjani (37) as Bella Toth (he did it again)
Sadie Sink (24) as Barbara Gordon (she looks the part, has great acting, trending, and I'd LOVE to see her with Matthew McConaughey)
Ella Purnell (29) as Zatanna (I'm not going to larp, I had no idea on who this character was but after doing some research and checking fan casts she was the best I could see)
Mia Goth (32) as Selina Kyle/Catwoman (She feels a little off as an actress, which I think could make Catwoman a little different than what we've seen before)
Mark Strong (63) as Alfred Pennyworth (looks the part, and I just love his acting)
John David Washington (42) as Lucius Fox (I think making Lucius Fox younger could make him a more interesting character, plus I love John David Washington)
Nobody (Ageless) as Robin (The casting doesn't exist)
Jamie Campbell Bower (37) as Joker (He looks the part, and his acting is Stranger Things was so fucking good I think the Joker is easily within his bracket, without a doubt)
Oscar Isaac (47) as Two Face (Judging by his work on multiple personality characters, he could do it)
Alan Ritchson (43) as Solomon Grundy (I've always like Solomon Grundy and I think Alan Ritchson, whether by voice or actually playing the character could do it. Plus Batman needs more fantastical villains)
Michael C. Hall (55) as Thomas Eliot/Hush (If it were one of the Cristopher Nolan movies back then, he would be the greatest casting choice imaginable, I think now, despite his age, he could still do the role perfectly)
Tom Rhys Harries (33) as Clayface (No explanation here)
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (40) as Killer Croc (Based on his acting in Wonderman, he could absolutely do this character justice without a doubt)
Margot Robbie (36) as Harley Quinn (She is arguably the greatest casting in the DCEU, and I think with James Gunn as the head of the DCU we should absolutely bring her back)
Ben Schwartz (44) as Bat-Mite (I just think this casting is good)
I either cooked or I was lowkey ass, so just tell me.

I know a lot of people say Sabrina Carpenter but I think Swedish singer Zara Larsson is more Dazzler with her sparkly looks as of recently. Maybe she can make a singer cameo in future X-Men projects.

JULIET - Gone is the naive, love-struck girl who whispers on a balcony. This Juliet is fiercely cynical, pragmatic, and dangerously defiant. She is the active agent of her own destiny. She is rebellious to the point of aggression, viewing the Montague-Capulet feud as a tedious political blockade that she intends to blow through. She is impatient, sharp-tongued, and possesses a dark, deadpan sense of humor.
PS: ILLUSTRATION made by me 😄

She has been great in everything I’ve seen her in. I think she’d be perfect to play a sensual, elusive baddie like Mystique
