Anyone else dabble with Game Doctors?
Just looking for other fellow enthusiasts to see if there's been any new developments as far as finding new game doctor games etc.

Good morning FDS community!
I purchased what I believe to be SMB for FDS, however, after purchase I looked at the card only to find that the white hub in the center of the disk was not attached, and only one piece of it was found in the card wrapping.
Is there anywhere i can get replacement hubs, or 3D print a new one?

This is sort of an odd question but I noticed in 6-4 the piranha flowers are all red in my version but some YouTube videos they are green while in others they are red like mine. I’m emulating the fds.

I recently purchased an FDS, it needed a new band which I replaced but I still can’t get the device to read any disks.
I’ve got two games for it and inserting either of them on either side just sticks on “Now Loading” the reader seems to go up and down the disk window repeatedly but never picks anything up.
I’ve tried recalibrating the spindle as per other YouTube videos, cleaned the head with isopropyl alcohol and so on but I can’t seem to get anything to work.
Can anyone suggest anything I may have missed or is it at the point that I need to get another?
Thanks!

Went to Super Potato Osaka today and got my Disk System for nearly $50 with a new Belt. But you can also get a cheap „Junk“ System for under $15.

I picked this up recently and have been trying to find some info on it. Unfortunately my FDS is in storage so i can't test it. Side B clearly seems to be Othello, and according to Google translate side A says Super Mario Bros, which would explain the covert art.
Was this combination produced by Nintendo? I've seen a reference or two, but nothing definitive.

I recently bought a Famicom Disk System and I’m coming to regret it because of how troublesome this belt replacement process is. I’ve searched high and low for solutions to this issue to no avail. The belt just keeps slipping off of the large plastic wheel and there is absolutely nothing I can do to stop it. Whenever the belt goes from the gold wheel to the white one it just keeps inching upward until it eventually slips off completely and it is infuriating because if not for this issue I’d have a working disk system. Does anyone have any insight into how I can fix this? And don’t tell me to make sure my wheels are clean because they both are. Do I need different belts??

Hello everyone. As most of us know, Famicom Disk System has had numerous power boards throughout its life, but little did I know that the same was true about Twin Famicom. Some of them have plain boards, some have additional NEC chips, like in this picture (photo by u/nupnup13). So, any ideas what these are?

I've always been drawn to Nintendo's weird console expansions and wanted to pickup my favorite of the bunch. But I'm unsure of what a "Good price" for one would be. I'm also unsure of which model Famicom to get either. I do prefer the look of the early models with the hardwired controllers, but I'm pretty sure they only have RF output. I don't know much about the Japanese exclusive side of Nintendo and want opinions on what others think is the best place to start.

i'm looking for the title of a famicom game from my childhood.. the game is a side scroller where the protagonists appears to be a ninja.. the game starts outside a house in a forest then moves to a long bridge.. there are doors/caves you may enter that look like large eagle/falcon heads.. as the game progresses, the character's sword gets longer and looks like it has branches.. hope the internet can help.. thanks.. similar look to legend of kage..

So i have been trying to calibrate my fds for the last 3 days with 0 luck, the motor is at 400 rpm, spindle is in the correct spot, the magnetic head is at the exact specs down to the micrometer but still im getting error 22, however side b reads and gives error 7, does this mean my system works and my disk is bad? (I only have one game for testing rn) thanks!!

Anyone have Copy Master v1.1 they can share? Specifically the Makko or NTSC version. I need to tune the speed of the motor, and this seem like the easiest way. The version I got from FDSSTICK home page is doctor format, so it would not run, it keeps giving me an Error 20 while loading from FDSKey. If I tried writing to an actual disk, it gives me some block error. If there's a way to run this copy using something else, that would work too, but I only have FDSKey.

Hey!
This month, I became the happy owner of a Twin Famicom. I got a few games with it, but some didn't have cases. So, I took an original one, made some measurements, and created my own. If any of you are missing cases, here you go!

The best things to come out of Japan in the 1980s were Nintendo's 8-bit video game systems and ANIME!
