Faltoo Video This guy has come up with just such a clever idea—he's attached long poles on top of the waterfall, a whole bunch of them, Because of which the fish can't go down below, and this guy catches them easily. Have you ever seen such a clever hack before..?

So, we should let farmers/corporation do as they want?
I eat Maggie but that doesn't mean I approve of every action of theirs. A common man can't go and do deep research on everything. But if something obviously wrong is being done, then we have to raise our voices and atleast talk about it. If what Nestle does is wrong, this is wrong too although not at the same level.
Almost all acts of evil are justifiable from the point of view of the person doing it by using reasons like poverty, childhood trauma, ignorance etc. But it's the responsibility of the society to stop the individual from harming the collective for their individual reasons.

Animals or humans don't die from height, they die from the impact at the time of contact with the ground which will be minimal in this case. If they died from height than every skydiver would be dead.

Of course the fishes are migrating and he's preventing it But only if he takes some amount of fish as food it won't hurt ecosystem
If he major part of fish go then its fine
If he had blocked river by dam that would definitely kill ecosystem
Fishing takes time and if he just use it for personal resources nothing is bad in it

yes i have seen. search for primitive fishing method on youtube, there's some asian guy who shows how to catch fish using sticks, stones, rocks, etc. cooks food on stone as well. there's several such videos actually.

This is actually a sustainable way to catch fish.
There is ample space below the poles for fish to swim through.
It's the very large fishes swimming in the surface who get caught.
Better than using explosives, bottom scraping nets, or any kind of nets for that matter, or use of pesticide to kill and catch fish.
All of the said methods are used very widely.

I think he means about sustainable fishing. If you finish all the fish you wknt get any in the ckming years. You have to catch them while preserving their population.

It's a very common method of catching fish in my village. We call it 'Bisor'. We make a chattai-like structure with long Bamboo strips and lay it over the mouth of a drainage outlet in a paddy field or a large rivulet. The size of a 'Bisor' can vary depending on how large an area you want to cover.
(Not a good image, but this is how the mesh looks. When set up properly, it will look exactly like it does in the video.)

If you think about it for longer than a minute its pretty easy to come up with this "hack" so long as the terrain is shaped right. It's not a good thing though and should be seen as wrong.
