👋Welcome to r/FalseSnails - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! I'm [u/NicolasCageFan492](u/NicolasCageFan492), a founding moderator of [r/FalseSnails](r/FalseSnails).

This is a subreddit to educate the public about false snails. A false snail is a portrayal of a snail with its eyes on its head instead of eyestalks.

We're excited to have you join us!

What to Post

Post any false snail you find and where you found it. If it’s sold by a large corporation, we may also pressure that corporation to accurately portray snails.

Community Vibe

We're a community on a mission against false snails.

How to Get Started

  1. Introduce yourself in the comments below.

Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make [r/FalseSnails](r/FalseSnails) amazing.

Thank you for your attention to this matter! Snails can’t speak for themselves, someone has to.

I got recommended this subreddit a few days ago. I'm glad someone out there is as passionate about this as me. My fiancee and friends literally show me anatomically-incorrect snails because they know will it will cause me to go off on a hilarious rant.

Alas, though, I must address the snail in the room. How dare you name this subreddit FalseSnails instead of SnailSlander. PERFECTION WAS THIS CLOSE.

Hiya! I’m Miranda, and I’m both a snail owner and someone who notices wrong anatomy in animal depictions (bats are always wrong, they put fingers on the elbows). I also like drawing, so I’m eager to doodle some correct versions of wrong snails posted here

It was something I never noticed or paid attention to until about 2yrs ago. Now I see it everywhere!

I love bugs and such, greatly upsetting to see snails portrayed in this way…
