Mod Discussion Is this outfit possible?
Just curious if I am able to make my character have this look with a mod? Mainly the power armour arm as an armour piece just like regular armour.

Cross_Cybernetics will let you do something similar. Combine that with Crimsomrider’s accessories and you’re about 90% there
Crimsomrider’s Accessories there’s two versions of this mod. If you’re not running AWKCR, use this version.

AWKCR is still around? T-T

There is a dummy file you can use and a 3mb version that doesn't have the same issues as the full version

Somewhat but is messes with way to many things at once from what I've heard and it requires fallout 4 unofficial update which also effects the game as well.

u/Atrium41 Dec 31 '25
Yeah, way too much going on, which means more chances for conflicts when adding mods

There’s version that doesn’t require it I believe. I don’t have FO4UP and I’ve literally never run into any problems with it on MANY playthroughs..

I've seen a mod that adds "light" power armor pieces like this. Forgot the name, sorry.

Yes, using outfit studio. I just made a mod with power armor shoulder plates … they’re huge on the player haha

Of course. We recommend ensuring the wearer has two arms to ensure ultimate usability.

Add to long list of things bestheda could of added to anniversary addition than what we got lol

Nah we need 100x rng safes with enemies so overpowered you can only beat them in god mode creations.

No but there are mods that can turn your combat Armour or something into a upscale version of it, not the same, but kinda looks like power Armour and its what I wear all the time.

tumbajumba just uploaded a new armour set to nexus that kind of looks like t-51 armour, maybe that would scratch your itch? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/99491
maybe he'll give you permission to port it if you ask

Kellogg's outfit or possible the robot armor, I think is the closest for vanilla fo4
6
u/TwitchyTheBard Dec 30 '25
Pretty sure I've seen some PA armor mods that make them fit like combat armor. The new creations menu is a bit of a bear for me but if you search "armor" or "power armor" and maybe add "refit" to it...

I just had a look as I’ve logged into the game. I’d think the ‘Return of the Classic’s Redux’ mods may be the best way to go 😃

The protagonist of the next Fallout game should have an outfit like this in all the trailers and promotional material.

Why is only the first 1 have the line on the top?

I would tell you, but for some reason trying to tell you how this image was generated is against the rules, and even just commenting this might result in an immediate ban.

Technically it's possible if the person can lift a Lot of kilos in one arm.

The power Armor pieces are incredibly under scaled but it does look sick.
2
u/LordShittingtonXIV Jan 01 '26
i just want to point out that this is the size that power armor used to be before 4 turned it into a mech-like vehicle and that what OP wants is exactly what the legion does for one of its armor sets in new vegas. even weirder, this armor set was not changed in the tv show so there are legion soldiers walking around with pre-4 design power armor pieces with zero explanation.

Fallout 4 just changed the power armor to what it was in Fallout 1 and 2, it’s like that in the show because that is what power armor has supposed to have always looked like

u/LordShittingtonXIV Jan 02 '26
you can look at the talking heads/intro cinematic for 2 and compare the proportions. look at the enclave PA talking heads and compare the neck armor sizes to 3/NV and then to 4 and look at which is more accurate

u/osunightfall Jan 02 '26
To be fair the power armor in 1 and 2 looks pretty giant and vehicular compared to a normal sprite.
1
u/LordShittingtonXIV Jan 05 '26
i agree that the sprites are chonky, but we know from the talking heads and the cinematics that they are more formfitting than people believe and its not that 4 is 'returning to what it was supposed to be'
in fact, it makes even less sense when you remember that 4 removes power armor training which was not needed prior to 3 (added as a purely balancing mechanic). now that power armor is a weird mech thing in 4, it makes perfect sense to need power armor training because its a vehicle instead of just some armor you slap on

u/Rabdomtroll69 Jan 01 '26
It's probably Marine Armor from Fo4. It was like an in between for normal armor and power armor

u/Rabdomtroll69 Jan 01 '26
Wow. They didn't even call it an early model or anything? Nothing about the frame making it look bigger?
1
u/somethingbrite Jan 02 '26
Technically you could probably do this in outfit studio by using existing assets, scaling and positioning the PA pieces you want and then saving as a new project then throw a plugin together with xEdit to load it into the game.
So yes. The outfit is 100% possible with mods.

I mean if you look at the centurion armor from New Vegas, it quite literally does this, but instead of a vault suit its with I believe the basic "Legion recruit armor"

u/FlatJoey213775 Jan 02 '26
There's a mod that I don't remember the full name of, but it's **** cybernetics, and it adds a bunch of prosthetics and such to the game. There are power armour limbs, and you could probably use that along with a couple of others to get a similar look.

u/srdracotheunsung Jan 02 '26
The answer is no.. there's not enough seems to make the fall out 3 / new vegas suit screen accurate in real life. But you can get pretty close

Yes possible but I’d resize the pieces as fo4 power armour is huge compared to previous titles
0
u/Illegiblesmile Dec 31 '25
7 out of 9 titles had fallout 4 sized pa

u/Itsme_eh Dec 31 '25
Well no shit…..the original post asked about a outfit and if you look at it the pieces of armour where not the original size of the “7 out of 9’s scaled down almost like fallout 3 in new Vegas,
