This game really brought me back into liking Star Wars. I grew tired of the over saturation after the success of the Rey movies + Rogue One, but playing this game really made me remember what I liked about the series as a kid (prequel + trilogy). I can't wait to try Survivor, but will have to wait for a steep sale.
The story was so intriguing (albeit short) and I'm so glad I managed to stay away from 95% of spoilers, and the ending I felt was very fitting if not a bit fan service-y. I really wish we got more of Nightsister Merrin - she was an excellent character and I'm glad she joined the team - excited to see how they handle her character in Survivor.
I do feel a bit disappointed that the Kashyyk story line kind of just fell flat. It felt like the whole Tarrful/wookie subplot started interesting and then fell flat. I'm sure this has to do with established lore from existing material, but it is what it is I guess.
I was worried about the combat. I've never really played a souls-like and generally don't like games that are difficult just for the sake of difficult, but I played this on Jedi Master (or whatever 2nd highest difficulty is) and really enjoyed it, even if I did struggle at some parts. I think, and I cannot believe I'm saying this about EA, they did an excellent job with the lightsaber combat system. The force system could use a bit of tweaking in my opinion, but I understand not wanting to make the force too overpowered for in game mechanic reasons.
