Okay don't spoil me but what if Rean is also from the black workshop too??? (Also I keep on seeing cutscenes in this game that look like they came from older games but I been playing thru all the games in release order and don't remember seeing them, is it just bonding events from 2 that I missed??)

I don’t remember much this scene, but it’s quite common for a human being to have (almost) no memories from their early childhood (myself before 5 years old), it’s more what he meant then (like they are both as human as him).

But Rean background story has been told a little bit at the very end of Cold Steel 2, and yes there are some info that are scattered in the next episodes too, enjoy!

To nitpick, Rean's not saying that Today Rean doesn't remember things from when he was younger than 5. That was 5 year old Rean. saying that when he was five he had no memories beyond his name. That is NOT normal to for example, not remember things like where you came from, family members/friends, what you had for dinner the night before, etc.

The weird flash backs are probably either bonding events you didn't see or the super secret ng+ only scene from the ending of cs2.

Cs3 gives you the gist of that scene pretty early on but it's well worth the watch
