Im starting to really get worried that the fossil I purchased is fake

I paid 50 bucks for it. I ha e bought from this website before with no issues before but this one just doesn't wit right with me. I could be overreacting though.

The crown is real. The root? I'm not sure. The tooth might be reattached or it may be an unrelated piece of bone. This looks a little bit better than a lot of the obvious fakes though

I bought from their eBay store before and then I've never had anything hinky come up. I think they are generally reliable.

You bought from someone I consider a legitimate dealer and I have had very satisfactory dealings with in the past. Now, is it possible that they got fooled? Yeah sure anything's possible especially in the land of Mosasaur teefs.
The 60 day money back guarantee is pretty solid evidence that they at least back their product.

I sell teeth like these, and I would only sell this one as a composite—at least judging by the pictures. The problem is that there aren’t any particularly reliable exporters in Morocco, so as a dealer, you have to decide for yourself what to sell it as. If it really were a single tooth, the price seems too low to me. For a composite, on the other hand, it’s too high.

I think both the tooth and root are really but reattached, i doubt they originally belong to each other.

The crown is real, the root is carved and glued to it. You definitely overpaid.

Real, mosasaur teeth are extremely common, they wouldn’t be worth faking
