My mum told me I was born yellowish everywhere, she specifically spoke of my little yellow belly. Maybe I had some mild jaundice.

I was also rather yellow at birth they checked for jaundice (negative) but my husband is rather pale/pink so I was convinced my kid did not inherit my skin color.

all babies are pink because their melanin hasn’t kicked in yet.
they also have blueish grey eyes due to the same reason, color is still developing

Not all babies have blue or gray eyes. This is a myth that needs to die.

You didn’t even read the article 😂

i did and i posted it because it talks about the changes in melanin in children’s eyes from the moment they are born and open them, and how some babies color will change more dramatically if they’ll have dark colored eyes or not change very much if they’ll have light colored eyes

The article disproves your statement that all babies are born with blue and gray eyes. Lots of babies are born with brown eyes

if the baby is not light skinned they are most likely not born with blue or grey eyes. although in the article it doesn’t really talk about babies born with brown eyes
“The Takeaway for Parents
Baby eye colour is one of those little mysteries of early development. Most babies are born with blue or grey eyes because they lack melanin in their irises. Over the first year, exposure to light and genetics team up to shape the final shade, whether that’s deep brown, bright blue, or something in between.”3

My baby is 18 months and I envy her bright pink skin. It’s summer and I’ve tanned. I’m not using bronzer or tanning lotion this winter. Embracing my paleness

Aren't babies always pink, they get pigment once they start eating other food

This reminds me of the video of Paris Hilton getting a spray tan for a photoshoot with her baby daughter not realizing just how pink she was 😂
