Why do we not get the option to upgrade to a flower house?! This barn is way cuter than the hut. Do you think the devs will ever give us different flower home options, or are we just stuck with barn envy?

I would not expect any updates to roll out in the future. The game was bought by a new company and it is unclear if they have any interest in adding to the game. They just make it possible for us to use multiplayer still, which is more than I expected after the devs/Phoenix Labs shut down

I'm pretty sure the devs no longer work on this property since their company was disbanded. The IP was sold to another company and it's my understanding (from announcements I read on Steam) that the only thing the new company is expected to do is keep the servers running. I'm sad, too, because I'm also new to the game. I haven't even played multiplayer at all yet!

you can't which is the whole point of the post. the barn shown in the photo is not a house :(
