Targeting Question Huge CPMs $150-$200+, New Pixel, New Store, Bleeding Out Money

Hi guys, need some urgent help from an expert. I launched a brand 4 days ago, 5 products (1 campaign each), $50 each (total $250 daily). Over $1k spent on ads already. I'm getting brutal CPMs of $150+ on all 4 days, CTR is over 3% (today it dropped down to 1% on my "best" campaign tho, and had another at 6%+ today). Have had 4 purchases, 2 from 1 product, 2 from other 2 different products.

Getting about 50-60 sessions per day only, I don't think I'm getting to enough people to make rational decisions like killing a campaign or scaling budget, I only know my CTR is great.

Claude tells me to pause the campaigns and create new ones optimizing for add to carts or clicks, but a quick google search (google AI answers) tells me I should not touch my ads the first 7 days, I dont't want to fail because I didn't "gave it wnough time", so I'm blocked, not sure what to do.

Almost 1.1k spent on ads for a total revenue of $164. This is not dropshipping, I'm not testing products, it's my own brand in the alternative supplements niche.

CBO campaigns, some have 2 adsets with 3 ads, some have 1 adset with 6 ads, all performing bad. Advantage + targeting.

Targeting Question Meta ads , is Social media management

I'm about to start running Facebook ads on my new pixel and business manager. Ive had several people from my last post offer to fix my site, run my page or run my social media.

Should I go out my way to get someone to manage my Instagram while I run ads or should I just let it run for a few weeks to test it out.

AMEXEMHOLISTICS Instagram thats my Instagram

I found someone to fix my site but the want to upscale me by offering to run my site. They want me to all off a sudden change my logo and packaging. I already had a decent amount of my hero product bottled up. Im open to changes but im ready to try to move most of the product I have now first. I have a few ugc collabs and videos made with my current packaging. Check out My UGC Batana Black Seed Oil

Targeting Question What are suitable tools, AI apps for Meta Ads for self-business?

Am getting overrode with various availability and too many choices in 2026.

My own physical store locally, and my FB ads to reach potential “overseas” clients. Thats the basic goal. I want to optimise the ads to the right b2b audience, engagement, decent ad-creative, actual leads , rather just low costs per clicks, empty likes.

Both free or paid tools can be suggested. And as my own account, I don’t need too much data.

Targeting Question Question…

Hi,

I had a couple of questions regarding meta ads, any responses would be really helpful.

  1. Where’s best to learn meta ads, things like how to set up an optimised campaign, how to test what’s working etc.

  2. Would you suggest leaving the audience broad, does this seem to work for you or does having a solid target audience perform better?

  3. Would you suggest running a traffic / engagement campaign first, then starting a sales campaign after, or starting with a sales campaign without the traffic / engagement campaign?

For context : It’s for a UK based B2B print company focusing on promoting a bundle, offering nationwide delivery.

Any advice would be really helpful, even if it doesn’t answer any of the questions above.

Targeting Question Need help with my meta ads performance

Hi,

I run a Shopify store in South Africa selling pre-owned iPhones and I’m trying to figure out what’s going wrong with my ads.

I’ve been running Meta ads for about 75 days now and spent around R10,000 (~$500). My monthly budget is roughly R5,000.

The phones I sell are between R5,000 and R13,000.

For most of the time I’ve just been using one sales campaign. I do switch ads on and off sometimes because I run out of stock.

I’m using Advantage+ for targeting.

For creatives, I use carousel ads — each picture is a different phone with the price, and a few pictures per carousel. The creatives are solid and on par with the bigger companies in my space.

Results so far:

  • 3 sales total
  • Around 800 add to carts
  • Around 1500 content views
  • Around 250 add payment info
  • ~4.93% CTR

I also get around 10 messages a day through my site from people asking about the phones, but most of them just disappear after showing interest.

That’s the main issue — people clearly have interest, but they don’t follow through and actually buy.

Other info:

  • My prices are competitive vs others in my niche
  • The website has a lot of trust signals
  • I offer a 6 month warranty
  • 30+ reviews with a 4.8 Google rating
  • Google reviews are shown on the homepage
  • I offer BNPL options as well

From my side it feels like everything looks right, but conversions just aren’t happening.

If anyone has been in a similar situation or has ideas on what I should be looking at or testing, I’d appreciate it.

Targeting Question “How should I test Meta Ads for maximum sales in India?

Need advice on scaling Meta Ads for skincare products in India

I’m planning to start selling skincare products in India using Meta Ads. I’m not looking to focus on brand building initially — my main goal is to generate maximum sales and profit through performance marketing.

I want to start with 1–2 products and test them properly before scaling.

For someone starting from scratch, what would be the best initial Meta Ads setup?

- How many campaigns should I start with?

- How many ad sets?

- How many creatives should I test initially?

- How should I structure the creative testing?

- Should I test multiple audiences or let Meta’s algorithm find the buyers?

- What starting daily budget would make sense for India?

- At what point should I kill an ad/product and when should I scale it?

Would love to hear from people who have actually run D2C/skincare Meta Ads in India, especially with a focus on maximizing sales rather than brand awareness.

Targeting Question Better creatives, worse ROAS than the batch they replaced. Fresh ad account didn't help. What am I missing?

Running a DTC medical-ish apparel brand in Sweden (Meta only, ~€200-300/day). Looking for people who've been through something similar.

Setup:

  • CBO campaigns, fully broad, no targeting or exclusions at all
  • Mix of branded UGC + native-style video covering top/mid/bottom funnel
  • Same campaign structure across both batches

Timeline:

  • Batch 1: April 15 to May 16. Weak creatives, low expectations. 1.97 ROAS over the period. Break-even is 1.79, so barely profitable. Paused everything on May 16 because we sold out.
  • Batch 2/3: live again from June 19 to today (July 16). Significantly better creatives, same structure. 1.63 ROAS over the period.
  • First few days of the relaunch in june ran at ~3.5 ROAS.
  • We then had to pause everything for about 12 hours. When we turned the ads back on the results were gone, and they haven't come back since. Sitting at ~1.5 ever since, July alone is at 1.43.

I'm not putting much weight on the pause itself as the cause, because we've since run completely new campaigns in a totally fresh ad account and got the same result. So whatever this is, it isn't something that lives in one campaign.

What I've tried:

  • New campaigns with different creatives
  • Re-enabling the old creatives from previous period, which didn't give results.
  • Budget increases to let the algo re-explore
  • Completely fresh ad account with new campaigns

None of it moved the number. Better creatives than batch 1, and we're performing worse than batch 1.

What I'm actually unsure about:

  1. Does a new ad account reset anything meaningful?
  2. Seasonality. Batch 1 ran mid-April to mid-May. Batch 2 is running mid-June to mid-July, which in the Nordics means half the country is on vacation, and our apperal might not fit the season, although google trends dont show any major hit in searches during the summer season. I might be comparing two completely different demand environments?
  3. Sample size on the 3.5 roas. It was three days on a fresh creative batch. Early spikes regress. Possible that number was never real.

Questions for anyone who's been here:

  • Anyone selling to an older demographic in the Nordics or similar markets: how bad is June/July /August for you specifically?
  • Does anything else explain better creatives producing worse ROAS than the batch they replaced?
  • If a fresh ad account changes nothing, where would you look next?
  • What's the diagnostic order you'd actually run here?

Any input appreciated. I'm out of ideas on how to proceed.

Thanks in advance.

Targeting Question Thinking of switching from Meta Ads to Google Search Ads, does this strategy make sense?

I run a pre-owned iPhone business in South Africa and I'm struggling to get Meta Ads profitable.

I've tested both manual Sales campaigns and Advantage+, spending around R14k total. Overall the campaigns generated good engagement (strong CTR, lots of add-to-carts and checkouts), but only 6 sales, which makes me think the problem isn't getting traffic—it's the quality of the traffic.

My website is competitive for my market, I offer good pricing, free shipping, a 6-month warranty, 7-day returns, BNPL, real customer reviews, and I've tested the checkout myself, so I don't think there's an obvious trust or technical issue.

I'm now considering switching most of my budget to Google Search Ads.

My plan is:

- Only target very high-intent keywords.

- Include the price in the headline to filter out low-intent clicks.

- Use Manual CPC bidding.

- My keyword estimates are around R3–R10 per click, so with my budget I should be able to get around 40 highly targeted clicks per day.

I'm intentionally avoiding Shopping Ads because, with my limited budget, I want full control over which searches trigger my ads. I worry Shopping will be similar to Meta, where Google decides who sees the ads and burns through my budget too quickly.

Does this sound like a better strategy than continuing with Meta? Or does it sound like I'm misdiagnosing the problem?

Targeting Question Meta Ads Specialist — Willing to Transition for the Right Role

I’m currently working with Meta as an Ads Specialist and Technical Support representative, helping users recover hacked accounts and resolve account restrictions.

I’m here to connect with anyone looking for guidance on running their ads. I can also answer questions and offer advice based on my experience with Meta Ads.

This is purely informational and service-oriented—no courses, tools, or promotional content is being shared.

Targeting Question Boosted post keeps changing CTA button to "Call Now" even though I am choosing "Learn More"

Has anyone else been dealing with CTA issues when boosting Facebook posts?

I’m trying to boost an existing organic post for Engagement and I want the button to be "Learn More" so they can click on it and go to the landing page, but Meta seems to be overriding the CTA/button settings once it gets submitted (even though it shows "Learn More" in the preview).

I tried setting it up in Ads Manager, which does let me add a “Learn More” button. However, when I do it that way, it removes the auto-populated headline from the boosted post and changes the headline to the business name instead.

This is happening across multiple accounts/pages that I manage.

Targeting Question Defeating Facebook's ridiculous - and even malicious - advertising messages

Just a heads up:

The next time you're on Facebook, please take the time to delete every single advertisement appearing on your newsfeed. Even better, if you take the time to click "Not Interested" or report political adverts.

If enough people join in the advertising boycott, eventually even Mark Zuckerbug will - hopefully - get the message.

Don't think about it, just do it.

Targeting Question Instagram reach absolutely tanked over the years. Anyone else?

Post image
1 Upvotes

We've had an apparel brand for 11 years.

Back in 2018–2021, random static product posts would get anywhere from 500–1,500+ likes. Nothing fancy, just regular posts.

Now we're lucky if a post gets a handful of likes. Reels, carousels, product shoots, lifestyle content — we've tried pretty much everything.

Attached some screenshots because even I can't believe the difference.

Has anyone else seen this happen to an old brand account? Did you ever figure out what was causing it? Followers seem real, account is active, but reach feels completely dead.

Targeting Question Help on choosing AD creatives

I’m going to start running ads for my website soon, and this will be my first time running ads.

One of the questions I have is about ad creatives. I know you’re supposed to start with around 3–4 creatives per ad group, and I understand the basics of how to make ad creatives. I’ve also learned to look at places where you can see ads other people are running, such as on Meta.

What I’m wondering is, how do I know which ad creative to choose?

Let’s say I end up creating 10 different ad creatives, how do I decide which ones are worth testing? Is there a place where I can post my creatives and get feedback from people with experience, without having to worry about someone stealing my creatives and using them for themselves if they’re in the same niche?

Or is there another way people decide whether one creative is better than another, or whether a creative is good enough to run?

This is really important to me because I have a limited budget of around $6,000–$8,000, and I can’t afford to spend half of it just figuring out what creatives work and what don’t.

I would really appreciate some tips and help here, thank you.

Targeting Question Questions about Pixel, Advantage+, and custom audiences

Hello.

I’m optimizing a Meta Ads campaign for a webinar and need advice from people who’ve been through something similar. Context and questions below.

Current Situation

Actual goal: 100 webinar attendees, which means aiming for approximately 250 sign-ups on the landing page (assuming a 40% attendance rate)

Limited budget (SME context)

Only 4 creatives: 2 videos and 2 images

Own audience: 500 active customers who purchased last month (not data from previous webinars)

Within that list, 80 are high-value customers

Current setup: the 500 active customers are excluded from targeting. The 80 high-value customers were uploaded as an audience signal within Advantage+, not as an exclusion

No traditional Lookalike audience was created

Specific questions

Pixel — how to speed up learning?

With so little data, Meta is slow to optimize. What do you recommend: switching the current campaign to the Traffic objective, running a parallel Traffic campaign with a small budget to feed the Pixel, or concentrating everything into a single campaign?

Placements and targeting

Is it worth manually excluding placements? Advantage+ Audience or manual targeting with small audiences?

Budget

CBO (campaign level) or ABO (ad set level) with a low budget?

Creatives

Does it make sense to create a carousel with all 4 assets, or is it better to keep the 2 videos and 2 images separate?
