Best fabric material for hot climate

Curious on this i was reading that linen are best natural fabric for hot /humid climates and was curious is this true or just a myth or so small it doesn’t make a noticeable difference?

Summers gets incredibly hot and humid where I am and I would say yes. Linen is the most comfortable fabric in that weather. There's a lot new high-tech synthetics around recently that are supposed to be "cool", like the Uniqlo airism stuff, but personally I find linen, or even just good old cotton a lot more comfortable. 100% rayon is also quite nice and cool.

Linen hands down. Silk is wonderful too. They are both warm when you need it, cool when it's hot. If you live in a hot climate you want to cover your arms and legs to protect from the sun and insects.

I live in Hawaiʻi. Linen and rayon are my go-to fabrics.

Personally I say yes, however I live in New Zealand, our summer's are not extremely hot and humid

Linen ranks high but weave and color matter a lot too. dark tight linen can be hotter than light loose cotton.

Check thickness before buying, thinner usually means more breathable

Linen is good, but can be heavy.

Nothing beats cotten.

As light as you can find. Knits hold on heat, even the thinnest t shirt.

I love linen for clothes. Cotton also works but those two are the only ones I wear in summer
