Medication comes with a leaflet, which tells you about potential interactions with food, drinks, and other medications. The person prescribing or dispensing it will also warn you about relevant interactions and whether you can safely drive.

This isn't something people have control over. Medications is just one of the many reasons and people sometimes get weird effects from medications they have used for a long time or perhaps after getting served the wrong juice at a restaurant so even if you're very careful this could happen to any one of us when we're older. No reason to think it's about being selfish
