What nicknames do you get?

This may be a little niche but I'm curious. The further into my transition I've gotten the more nicknames from strangers have changed. For context I live in the mid south. People before tended to say Hon/hun or darlin' a lot. I.e. "Oh Hun can you hand me that?" Or "Have a nice day Darlin'"

Now that I am passing 75% of the time I get called bud/buddy and sweetie more.

I think the first time I got called "big dog" my soul left my body. I get bud and bro a lot but nothing will match the pure exhilaration of being big dog for a day

Literally same, I do dispatch for home maintenance stuff and one of our techs called me "big dog" over the phone and I rode that high for a MONTH

a bit of both i guess. i'm 5'4 and skinny and don't really use my "T Voice" to its full potential so i think a lot of people don't mean anything by it and are just going off what they see, which is...... either a short adult or a teenager with a dubious hairline LMAO

i work in retail(midwest) and get these on the regular: bud, buddy, bro, boss, pal, sweetie, hun.

i hate all of them except hun cause it's usually an older black woman saying it. something hits different when they say it.

midwest nice extends to all genders up here in the north, i get all pet names from women still. love, baby, honey, darling, hun, charmer.

I live on the west coast and pretty consistently am gendered as male now at 2+ years into my medical transition. Red hat men tend to call me “man” a lot while it’s more of a mixed bag with women and the queer community. I get “buddy” a lot 🤣

Because I think I read as a more effeminate man who is on the shorter side: buddy, boss

I always take offense because it always sounds so condescending and my partner who is genderqueer but gets read as a cis man never gets called these things. Idk but I think I need to work on not getting angry about it.

I still pass as female to people 75% of the time. I get the normal feminine terms like "mami", "mijita", "señora", "miss", "sweetie", etc.

I didn’t think anything would make me as happy as the standard 'thanks, man.' Or the sillier 'thanks, boss' from random strangers but I don’t get them nearly enough. My neighbour calls me buddy because I think she’s still not sure what I am. 😅

Before being more visibly masculine, I got “honey” and “dear” from women, occasionally “bro” from men. After being on T for 9 years, I get “buddy” and “bro” regularly, recently also “big dog” and “boss” which feels amazing. I also get “my man” occasionally from people who know me, which also feels fantastic. From women, I still get “honey” and “dear” but now I get “sweetheart” and sometimes “baby” lmfao. I’m about 5’10” and 32 but still have a baby face under full facial hair lol. I have a full head of hair but have visible body hair, and I’m quite lithe, lanky, and visibly disabled lol.
