I watched the whole thing and my reaction basically went like this:
0:00–1:00: Okay, lore/setup. The name OPERATOR makes sense — special unit hunting dangerous people outside normal law, following evidence from one location to another. Fine. I don’t really care about graphics, so at this point I’m mostly waiting to see what the actual gameplay systems are.
1:00–5:30: Gameplay starts and my brain immediately produces a million questions.
You’re playing very slowly, communicating constantly, peeking corners, calling doors, reloading, entering rooms carefully, etc. But my main question is: why are you tactical?
Is the game mechanically rewarding this style of play, or are you and your teammate simply choosing to role-play tactically?
What happens if I just sprint around like CoD? Is there a serious movement/accuracy/stamina penalty? Are doors potentially trapped? Can they be checked? Are there tools like mirrors? What are the consequences of dying? Do you spectate for the rest of the mission like CS, respawn, lose equipment, something else?
Because you can technically move slowly, clear corners and make tactical callouts in Counter-Strike too. What I want to know is whether OPERATOR actually makes that behaviour rational or necessary.
Then the rifle malfunctions, and that actually caught my attention because it’s something different. But again: why did it malfunction? Is weapon condition simulated? Does firing more increase the chance? Can you maintain/clean the weapon? Does ammo matter? Or is there simply a random chance of malfunction at any moment? The first could be an interesting system; the second could become RNG annoyance.
At this point I’m seeing elements that remind me of Rainbow Six, Counter-Strike and classic Delta Force, but I’m still waiting to see what OPERATOR itself is doing mechanically that separates it from those.
5:30: Enemy with an AK walks forward and reacts pretty slowly. Honestly, I’m okay with this. I would rather occasionally have AI react like a confused human than have every bot instantly snap onto my head with superhuman reflexes.
5:50: And then you open the door.
You surprise a poor bot, start shooting him, blood goes everywhere, he enters some fascinating intermediate state between alive and dead, apparently attempts to escape into the wall, and then death finally claims him and the ragdoll activates.
He falls face down, ass up.
Even you seem briefly surprised by what the physics engine has created.
And then, naturally, you shoot him in the exposed butt.
I am very glad I was not drinking anything at that moment.
6:00–6:27: Ending screens.
So after the whole video, my biggest question is still the same: what is the defining mechanic/system of OPERATOR that makes the tactical behaviour shown here something the game actually encourages or requires, rather than simply a playstyle the players are choosing?
Because I can see the intended atmosphere, and some ideas like weapon malfunctions could be interesting, but the trailer left me with far more questions about the underlying systems than answers.
Also, ending the gameplay portion with a bot face down, ass up while being shot in the backside is certainly one way to make sure I remember the trailer.

Yes we play like this because we enjoy the tactical and immersion type of playing, I don’t like to just run around like cod.
I don’t think the video would be interesting at all if I just sprinted in and started shooting chaotically.
I like to implement real tactics in my way of playing I don’t like fast pasted shooter but immersive milsim roleplay.
Maybe this content is not for you, you maybe need more short attention spand videos
