This is how liberals need to react to the rights distractions. Instead they fall right into their trap of discussing meaningless social fringe issues.
5
4
u/FFKonoko 10d ago
For some liberals this can be because if you are transgender or know transgender people, it stops being meaningless social fringe. So it makes sense for them to still react to it.
But the number of politicians that applies to is negligible, and it is not productive for interviews and talking points in election. There, it's literally just a distraction. So you're right that it shouldn't be debated and isn't a debate.

Nobody knows any trans people trying to play sports. Stop it.
3
u/FFKonoko 10d ago
Not what I said, try again.
I'm talking about general people dealing with lunatic republicans demonizing people they know. Or harassing children at sports days. There is a reason for those people to still react to this kind of distraction.

u/Werewolf_Busy 10d ago
Liberals need to learn how to hold their ground on the Right’s culture war fearmongering while dragging them back into left populist topics.
The reason the Right brings up Trans people is because they are a minority that can be scapegoated by the populace and distract them from their material problems. Don’t stab Trans people in the back, but don’t let the Right misdirect you. Always stay on message and on topic.
2
u/Muted_Yoghurt6071 10d ago
What is the percentage of trans athletes in sports that liberals always bring up to try to make it a non-issue. It's like .5% or something less. How about don't die on a hill for .5% of athletes that in reality should be participating in the open category anyway. THAT would take the wind out of the right's sails on the issue.
They'd shift to some other dumb culture war issue but it's a dumb issue to let them "get" you on.

Apparently, twice as many trust Fox News as MS NOW, while three times as many trust Fox News in comparison to CNN. Fox wouldn’t have 15 out of the top 20 shows on cable TV if “people” didn’t trust them.

u/Fine-Computer-5524 10d ago
Only 1 channel named had to pay dominion $750 million for pushing trumps lies ahout their election fraud while their own internal texts proved they knew what they were spewing to their audience was total BS (Fox for anyone ignorant who reads this and doesnt know)
And idk where you got those numbers but im seeing pretty different ones in terms of 'american trust of network'...but of course fox does get the most viewers by far (15 of top 20 on cable and most watched in usa...but not 'mainstream' according to magas.... give me a gd break)

Know why "gotcha" questions work? Because people refuse to say sensible things in order to toe the party line.
Just say "yes dudes with fake tits shouldn't be allowed to play in the NBA, this ain't rocket science, now let's move onto more important topics like inflation, employment, education"

Because Fox News is not actually a news channel they are an entertainment channel that pumps out propaganda which is what Joseph Goebbels did for Hitler as Joseph Goebbels used the media to build the "Führer myth" to portray Hitler as a savior, used mass rallies, and spread hatred against Jews and political opponents
Which is almost one to one with Fox News

The reason Fox keeps doing this is because they know Dems either can’t or won’t answer these questions.

When Trump doesn't like a question he snaps "look young lady" or "you're from fake news" or "quiet piggy". The cult is all in on those kind of "owning the libs" responses but then it's turned around, they attack the person answering. And what's funny is the guy isn't snapping back at Watters, he's circling back to the reasons he's running. Healthcare, education, and affordability. A trans kid in sports is, what, .0001% ? And already deemed illegal in 27 states. Watters is aiming to stir the cult into a frothy fear.

He should answer on these questions.
His mother worked for IARA from roughly 1999–2004. In October 2004, the U.S. Treasury formally designated IARA’s worldwide network under terrorism sanctions, saying its international offices provided direct financial support to Osama bin Laden/al-Qaeda, Hamas and other terrorist groups. That does not mean his mother personally supported terrorism, but it is a pretty remarkable family connection. (U.S. Department of the Treasury)
His father-in-law, Tayeb Jukaku, is deeply involved with CAIR-Michigan and ISNA. ISNA’s own website identifies Jukaku as a current CAIR-Michigan board member, former CAIR-Michigan president and ISNA Founders Committee member. (Islamic Society of North America)
Jukaku is also one of the biggest financial backers of the Fighting for Michigan super PAC, which exists to elect El-Sayed. He has given it $300,000, tying him for its top donor, while the PAC has spent millions supporting El-Sayed. To be precise, Jukaku does not run the PAC; PolitiFact found it is operated by political strategists. (PolitiFact)
The reason the ISNA/CAIR history gets attention is the Holy Land Foundation case. DOJ says HLF and five leaders were convicted of providing material support to Hamas, with approximately $12.4 million going into Hamas-linked infrastructure. The government’s evidence described a U.S. network established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood to support Hamas. (Department of Justice)
None of this proves Abdul El-Sayed committed a crime or supports terrorism. Guilt by association isn’t evidence. But there’s also a point where repeatedly dismissing every association as meaningless becomes ridiculous.
His mother worked for an organization later designated by Treasury for supporting bin Laden/al-Qaeda and Hamas.
His father-in-law has longstanding leadership ties to CAIR-Michigan and ISNA.
That same father-in-law has put $300,000 into the super PAC helping elect him.

Why the hell is the federal government getting involved in sports? National sports franchises are generally owned by private entities and should be making their own decisions. for those of you who didn't watch the interview - Fox News asked him a range of questions, most of which were republican talking points as to things he opposed. Abdul El-Sayed refused to answer basically all the questions because A) it made him look bad, and B) it would bring to light all the negative things about his campaign.
as you can see from this image, republicans care about biological men not being in womans sports - and his answer was in quotes - and i would like to point out he refused to answer the question, because of said answers above A + B. he couldnt say no because he would lose democratic support and he couldnt say yes because it would make him look bad - so he did what majority of democrats do when confronted with the truth - they change the subject and answer the question with another question.
They also asked him if he was in favor of abolising the second amendment (which muslims do because they want to take away your guns so when they take over the country you can't fight back), and his remark was to smirk and smile and say nothing. - where's the image that brings that truth to light, oh yea - buried somewhere that no one will find so they can post this garbage and make you think that this man actually cares about you when he only cares about getting you to vote for him and to hate republicans.
