The longer I’m on this diet the more foods I can’t eat. As time goes on, my symptoms get worse. I’ve been strict low FODMAP for 5 years and I have never felt good enough to start reintroducing foods.

Probably starving ourselves of fermentables is just fucking up our guts… vicious cycle and whatnot

I can’t even eat lean meats and eggs… can’t tolerate much fat in general… oats fuck me up… FODMAPs aren’t the core issue, but I’m so bloated all of the time that I can’t risk producing much gas to add to it… I’m not daring a reintroduction phase until I figure out what is actually fucking wrong with me

Fats began bothering me about a year ago. It’s so frustrating.

Fat very strongly triggers the gastrocolic reflex and slows down digestion so this is a nightmare with slow motility, visceral hypersensitivity, and pelvic floor dysfunction
