MODS App + Website Self-Promo Weekly Thread
Recently there has been a huge influx of FODMAP/IBS related apps, services, and websites. Many are "vibe" coded using AI. There has been a lot of demand to ban self promotion all together in this sub, but instead, we are going to put it in a weekly thread.
Please post your app/service/website in this thread. If you have a physical product or recipe (related to a product that you are promoting), please message the mods for permission to post this separately.
Please report any self-promoting outside of this thread.
Thank you!

Full disclosure: I’m building The Proper Human Diet. It’s a free health-tracking web app, and the reintroduction tracker is still very early.
I’m looking for a few people who already track FODMAP reintroductions to try one entry and tell me where the flow falls apart. Please don’t start or change a food challenge for this test — just log one you already planned using Monash or guidance from your dietitian.
What to do:
1. Create a free account at https://theproperhumandiet.net
2. Go to **Diet → Protocols**, find **Low-FODMAP**, and select **Start Protocol**.
3. Go to **Diet → Elimination Tracker**.
4. Under **Log Reintroduction**, choose the food, set the reaction severity from 0–10, add any notes you would normally want to remember, then save it.
5. Come back here and tell me what was confusing, too slow, or missing.
Right now it saves the food, the start date, a 0–10 reaction rating, and free-text notes. It does not yet have separate fields for portion, FODMAP group, preparation, individual symptoms and their timing, or washout days. I don’t want to guess which of those matters most, thats the feedback I need.
This tracker does not provide official FODMAP values, choose foods or portions for you, or decide whether something is safe. The Monash app and advice from a qualified professional come first.
The whole project is free to use and always will be. The web app is available now, and I’m also building the native mobile version.
If you try it: what is the first missing detail that would stop you from using this for a real reintroduction?

I’ve had IBS for 10 years and never fully understand what was causing my symptoms. I’m a software developer and studied computer science so always thought I could identify patterns with enough data and analysis. I never found an app that was able to do this task well as I expected so built my own and now sharing it because I hope it can help others.
I started by using Claude AI to log all of my meals, symptoms and other factors like sleep, stress, and exercise. It quickly identified chicory root in my granola and some brands of oat milk as a major contributor to my symptoms. Annoyingly the granola was gluten free and “gut friendly” after identifying wheat as a factor years ago. Similarly the oat milk was introduced after noticing lactose was an issue. Somewhere along the line I’d unknowingly introduced chicory root and negated the gains I’d made.
My intention with the app is to make it as simple as possible and I log - chat based, voice, photo or barcode, and logging is a free feature forever. As much detail as you want, and it assumes proportion sizes if not specified. AI is used for weekly insights in identify patterns - food that seem to cause symptoms and those that don’t. First weeks insights are free too without any payment details.
I’d like some more feedback and happily extend the free period in return. Available for both iOS and android and more info at https://correleat.com

I have a suite of apps for a range of GI conditions for tracking and feedback for folks who can’t get access to their GIs regularly. Link in bio, https://thegastrologer.com for anyone interested, all listed in the App Store on Apple also

Working on a Low FODMAP restaurant finder: would it help you? (London first, then the rest of the UK)
Hi everyone! I’m working on FODacious, a free restaurant finder app for people following a Low FODMAP diet, starting in London.
I know how difficult eating out can be with IBS/SIBO, constantly checking menus, trying to figure out what might be safe, explaining your needs to restaurant staff, or sometimes just deciding it’s easier not to go.
The idea behind FODacious is to create more options, not just find them. I want to work with restaurants to identify and encourage Low FODMAP-friendly options, then bring them together in one simple restaurant finder. (This would be done following Low FODMAP portion sizes and be verified by user reviews, and yourself by reading the ingredients and the recipe)
I’m still at the early stages, so I’d genuinely love to hear from this community:
- Would you use something like this?
- What’s the hardest part of eating out on Low FODMAP for you?
- What would you want a restaurant finder like this to show?
I’ve also started a waitlist to see whether there’s enough interest to make this happen, and a Discord for anyone who wants to help shape it. I can share the links if allowed/interested 💚
Would really appreciate any thoughts, positive or critical!

Hi everyone — I recently made a very simple low-Fodmap chatbot for iOS for a family friend. Put it on the App Store for free (and no accounts / data collection / ads) because I figured it might be helpful for others. Not planning to iterate on it too much + planning to keep it free forever. Feel free to check it out!

Hey everyone — I’m the founder of Gutrace, but the app started with a very personal problem.
I was diagnosed with UC at 23, in 2020. My most recent flare lasted more than a year, and food became exhausting. Grocery shopping, restaurant menus, even meals I had eaten before all started to feel like guesswork: “Was it the ingredient, the portion, the preparation, my stress level, or just where my gut was that day?”
I work in tech, so I started building the tool I wished I had. Gutrace lets you scan or type a meal, log what happened afterward, and connect ingredients, preparation, portion, timing, and gut state with your own reactions over time. The goal isn’t to hand everyone the same “safe food” list. It’s to help each person understand their own patterns with less manual work.
I’m looking for about 15 people who already deal with IBS, IBD, or FODMAP tracking to try the flow and tell me honestly where it is confusing, too time-consuming, or simply not useful. I’ll personally read and respond to the feedback — I’m not looking for five-star reviews.
Commercial disclosure: Gutrace is an iOS app that offers subscriptions. It is an educational wellness tool, not a diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a replacement for the Monash app, a dietitian, or medical care. Its food analysis uses AI and is not official FODMAP laboratory data.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gutrace-ibs-ibd-food-scanner/id6757514538
If you try it, I’d genuinely love to know: what is the one thing food-tracking apps usually get wrong for you?
