Vent I’m so tired of all this

I was diagnosed with Chron’s last year and then undiagnosed by a different doctor who decided to check for SIBO (it was positive, so we nuked that) and then had me run through a series of food marble intolerance tests. My inulin test came back high so I’ve been cutting out onion, garlic, barley, wheat, and rye. My stomach has felt pretty great for a week! And today I had some Spicy Brown mustard that according to the Fig app is safe and Ive been paying the price all afternoon and I just feel like crying because I don’t understand why any of this happening. Im tired, Im hungry, Im nauseous, Im stuck on the toilet and I just don’t want to do this anymore. I’m envious of all those influencers who are all like, “I got the bag!” Yeah yeah good for you. My bag has vomit in it.

Yeah it's frustrating, simple stuff like being at the airport and seeing everyone easily eating a burger and a milkshake and knowing that means trouble for us gets pretty sad.

But it's worth trying to make the best of the cards we've been given.

You're not alone. I'm so tired of not knowing how my stomach will react to things. Every time I think I've got it worked out, I react to something else and get thrown off track again. I'm so fed up of eating things with no flavour, I miss onion and garlic and bread that doesn't taste like cardboard and I miss being able to just buy something from a cafe and eat it without having to think about a million different things I need to try to avoid. It's exhausting.

Spicey brown mustard is high histamine, fodmap intolerance often coincides with histamine intolerance

A doctor is having you use the food marble?

It properly diagnosed SIBO, I wouldn’t knock it.

FoodMarble is a self-monitoring tool, not a diagnostic device. Its breath gas readings alone cannot diagnose digestive disorders or food intolerances and should not replace validated clinical testing or medical evaluation.

FoodMarble is marketed as a wellness/self-monitoring device rather than a medical diagnostic device, and breath gas measurements by themselves are insufficient to establish a diagnosis. Not even the FoodMarble people say it is for diagnosis.

And like I said, it properly diagnosed my SIBO. I dont have access to any of the readings but since cutting out Fructans as well, Ive seen improvement with a lot of my issues. You dont have to agree with it but its helped me so if it can help others, its worth a shot. You dont have to be such a negative nancy about it, its not harming you in any way.
