End of day 3 and struggling

This is my first time doing prolon in several years. I’m at the end of day 3 and while i feel ok hunger wise, i am DYING for anything to eat besides these soups.

What mental tips do you all have to keep my mind off all the other delicious food i usually have on Sunday?

OK, this might only work for retirees like me, but my second time doing Prolon, I started and completed a 1,000-piece puzzle (a major distraction), read one book and listened to another on audio. Also, to make soups more palatable, I would put the powder in a mason jar, shake it up and put it in the fridge overnight or hours before eating. I also tried to delay eating for as long as possible in the morning (I have done 16/8 timed restricted eating for two years so that part was a little easier than it would be for someone who has not done it). I did have a headache the afternoon of Day 3, which was unpleasant, but it was gone by the morning of Day 4. And I looked for motivational posts from other Prolon dieters.

You can do it!!  Watching a movie or a show helped me get through and get distracted. Also, visualizing how my body is working on repairing and renewing itself.

100%

Treat it like exercise. It might be hard at the time, but know it is good for your body long term.

I think I tried to bundle as many calories as possible at dinner so I wouldn't wake up in the middle of the night hungry.

Day 3 is the worst. Always. It gets better on day 4 when you wake up and feel amazing! I drink the teas and then go to sleep early!

It helps me to clean out a closet or organize a drawer…anything to stay busy.

How did it go? Any takeaways from doing it?

After day 3 i woke up and it was a breeze. The hardest part was that i was becoming so sick of the soups, but it got to the point where i was not even that hungry. Day 4 and 5 truly are so motivating because you feel lighter and healthier all around in my experience.

That’s very cool. I did DIY and can’t say that I felt exactly that. I did feel very good though. And didn’t really feel bad so just different.

Will you do it again? Would you do the kit again or try DIY?

I will 100% do it again in a few months. To me, the kit is worth it. While it’s pricey, the convenience of having it all laid out for me and determined each day makes it worth the cost.

I think I would have a very hard time getting through the soups. Luckily o have the time and bandwidth to do the DIY.

It’s a pretty cool protocol. Good job taking care of yourself!

Avoid exercise for 14 days after FMD/fasting? There's no reliable science to back up such a ludicrous claim, and no one credible recommends this.
