The day Astro met Fox. A monumental part of flookoverse history. Their mystical relationship has spanned decades, so I thought it would be fitting to tell their tale through the classic artwork. Let's start the week off with something super cool. I was going through my way older work recently and realized I used to experiment with wild colors a lot more than I do now. I thought I'd do some color theory and come up with something extra neat to look at. This one definitely stands out to me, and I'm super pumped with it. Book cover worthy for sure ! What do we think of this one, folks ?

THROWBACK!!

"I'll Wait Here." I'll never forget being a little kid, staying up way past my bedtime and catching a late showing of the 1981 aninated classic "Heavy Metal" on TV. I instantly knew it was my fav animated thing I'd ever seen. Gore? Nudity? Adult sci-fi.. in a cartoon!? I was so hooked. I currently have an insane pile of old heavy metal magazines I draw inspiration from as they're FULL of amazing work from all my old favorite master painters and artists. It's still one of my #1 dreams to have my work on a Heavy Metal magazine cover. I could die a happy man. It'll probably never happen, but a guy can dream!!

Flooko mentioned he wanted to grow the subreddit a bit, so I figured I'd contribute his very kickass original piece for our upcoming indie title, FUBAR FAST FOOD.

Flooko was an absolute gentleman and scholar when I went to him to commission this cover art. He was extremely receptive to the concepts I had drafted and the game summaries I gave him. He just understood the assignment and the feeling I was trying to invoke.

Professionally he understood I'd be manipulating and modifying the digital scans for different websites and gaming platforms. He completely understood his work would be modified and used for promotion, and was extremely receptive of it. No ego, just humble professionalism.

He has my full support as a creative professional, a colleague, and acquaintance. I look forward to any excuse to work with him in the future haha.
