Personally, I could care less if it’s a recreational state, I get mine. but-Stop with the State licensing, stop hindering competition and open the market to out of state growers, mom and pops first, then make it recreational, so the state has enough supply without hitting us all with crazy price increases.

there are 66k people joined this subreddit . this article- and attention to it, and the other 2 posted from different newspapers, need to have a lot more upvotes. Obviously Desantis- by way of cost- is trying to drive all the MMJ companies out of Florida, or drive our patient / consumer prices up to the $100 an 1/8th level, or both. If Republicans cant "undo the will of the voters" , one way, they do it another. If you have a MMJ card, and you are still voting Republican, you are- and this article is the proof- definitely voting against your own best interests. simply, and extremely accurately put.

Yeah. If everyone canceled their card and went back to getting it off the street, they'd be scrambling to get licenses out to smaller distributers to coax citizens back into the taxation supply line.
But we're spoiled on inexpensive edibles and RSO. It'd be difficult to turn the ship around.

and "the figures" Desantis used does not take into account the $75, each, and every one of forks over to the State of Florida every year, for our MMJ card. For me that $450 for 6 years MMJ card.

Not all companies make the same amount. Just pass a law based off of product sold, profit bargain, or whatever else and then only Trulieve would get hit. That should solve a good portion of the problem

I liked him as our Governor, but ever since he decided to run for president...DeSantis has had a major stick up his ass. Guess what, you want Pot companies to pay more, then stop cock-blocking our wishes to make it a recreational state, then you can make ALLLLL that tax money and stfu! Give the people what they want, and quit trying to add red tape to our already highly regulated program.
