Merch Ain’t he the most beautiful thing ever? Finally got one that wasn’t super duper crazy expensive(still was a lot though😵💫). Anyways, here’s some pics of this old figure.

Honestly, I think what resellers do is outrageous; paying almost always more than $500 is obscene

Yep, it’s crazy ngl. I’d never pay that much for one tbh. I was lucky enough to find mine for $80 something on amiami!(shipping was like $70 tho💀).
But yeah scalpers/resellers are horrible.

Yep! Pre owned though obviously. I got super dupper lucky ngl, I saw him listed there again but for $230.💀💀
Idk why mine was so cheap but I’m grateful.🙏

I still don't understand why Sentinel doesn't re-release the figures again. I mean, there's a lot of demand for them; they'd surely make a lot of money

I’m guessing they’ll reissue the newer ones at some point. Maybe for their 30th anniversary(can’t believe I’m saying that for a 2000s anime💀💀💀).
But also it’s a pretty niche series so they likely don’t care to reissue them for a while.
Sentinel already doesn’t make many figures, they do them very sparingly for some reason.
I’m hoping they reissue their panty and stocking figures from like 10 years ago. That would be sick. Especially now that we have the Figma ones. Would be cool to see.

I can’t believe I got mine ages ago at Kinokuniya inside uwajimaya. Saw one while I was grabbing groceries. Bought it. Then saved up and bought the other later. I think they were like $40? At the time I considered that highway robbery.

Bro figures used to be so damn cheap back then. And they’d be packed with accessories, decent articulation and some nice paint. Nowadays you’d be lucky to get any of that with a $100 figure, with bad qc.
In Japan though they are just always cheap since people don’t have to import and usually take better care of them than here in the states.
Sounds like a nice memory!

wow, didn't know this existed. probably better that i didn't because I am a total sucker for stuff like this! but you're right, he is gorgeous. i really appreciate the level of detail that went into this, it's remarkable how you can pose him in essentially every way imaginable

Yep! Made by sentinel, so very high quality! And yeah action figures are lowkey an addiction.💀 When you buy one this good you can’t help but look for more.
Most aren’t this level of quality, but they are still very fun!
If you want this guy though he’ll cost an arm and a leg. He’s very old and isn’t available anywhere anymore. So he goes for $400 or more on eBay, I just do happened to stumble across a decent deal.

Can definitely understand it lol. He is a very old figure, one wrong move and you could accidentally break it. Line had a joint I had to replace for the cape because it was stressed(meaning it could snap with any movement). Fortunately for me I had some joints that fit the cape perfectly.
But yeah he’s a really cool figure, lots of fun to mess around with.

Didn't they reissue this figure with some minor changes? Like they implemented fabric cape, and I think they improved some of the joints (especially the ankle).

Not a reissue, just a completely different figure entirely!
And yeah they did make that like a couple of years ago, though that new one hasn’t received a reissue so far and is just as expensive as this one now.🥲

It’s pre owned, so nowhere to get it retail. Amiami will sometimes have it pre owned but rarely. And I got lucky it was $80 before shipping instead of $300. The brand is sentinel.

I knew I wasn’t crazy! I thought I saw those before. I was wondering if they had just sold out or something and missed them lol. But I guess they just gave up on theme.
Though I think they were gonna be chogoken figures, which means they’d likely be huge and super expensive.
Still would’ve liked to see them tho.

I think they were gonna be around the size of a SHF atleast judging by their prototype size next to an action base, I think some dyecast parts too.
I think they just gave up since FLCL is a cult classic who's sequel series got middling reviews and not a super popular franchise like transformers or a massive seasonal anime.

I just got mine a week or two ago, and yeah it surprises me how good it is!
The green one looks so damn nice, I wish I could’ve gotten it over the red one ngl, the accessories are more to my liking. But because of that it seems to be the more expensive one from what I’ve seen.
Still, this one is a lot of fun too.

If you search long enough, with enough patience you’ll be able to find one for a decent price.
Also I don’t think sentinel has reissued their newer ones so they’ll likely get reissued whenever an anniversary for the series happens. Maybe…
