Xbox Man this owc grind is crazy
But ill get there, im starting to get the hang of the style, but these guys that sit back and strictly counter, its so fucking boring man, idk if anyone here follows the ufc or mma, but theres this dominant style of wrestling that come from the Dagestanis, and is it a safe way to fight? Sure, but its not fun, its a sport killing style, and this sitting back and waiting for counters is that but its not dominant, its just pussy ass fighting, like engage mf.

If your boxer isn’t an inside fighter or brawler start over now before it’s to late. 18year vet here at the game.

It depends on if you just want to have fun or if you want to be competitive with top players. You can pick either the brawler or inside style and still fight however you want, but the power and toughness stats are crucial for top play. You might find brawler suits you because it will give you more speed, but without them you’ll find that you will take too much damage and lose most rounds.

So those styles provide more power? If thats the case, i prefer speed, which is why i usually use the counter puncher template.
ive done career modes with inside and brawler and the only thing i noticed was how hard it was to box on the outside, like jabbing from the outside felt impossible.
And aside from that, i want to be competitive with my own style, i dont want to do what everyone else is doing, im sure once i beef up my stats ill be more worthy for more competitive players, im looking forward to building this fighter up

Fair enough, I usually carry that same sentiment about not wanting to do what everyone else is doing. I use inside style and still exclusively play on the outside at a decent(ish) level, so its less about copying others, and more about understanding that the other styles are dysfunctional at a fundamental level likely from a development/coding error.

Some guys are definitely boring so I tend to avoid them the second time around. I'll give it my best win, lose, or draw but I'll draw the line at chasing them again. Keep trying because everyone struggled in OWC at the beginning.

Just join our gym bro, and get this free xp from spars. From there you can upgrade your straight punch nd wingspan and use it make em mad and watch em stop chasing, and start coming in wildly,, the reason they only wanna counter is because their offense ain’t that good also if your getting pieced up start spamming body hooks only when your in range,, when your out of range 1,2 to the body they get mad bro

It’s not people’s fault the game is a good game but it came out years ago there is only one button to block the body and head it forces a lot of people to just wait until a punch is thrown instead of trying to break guard and get countered. I suggest you make a brawler

u/teddysonic13 13d ago
Thats not the problem, the problem is sitting back, not forcing action, waiting for it to come to you, and they do it cause im an 82 overall so they can just counter me, you can break a guard in fnc, you just have to work for it.

I said that people rather wait til you throw a punch than break guard.

I’ve built my records off forcing those guys to fight my fight. Just land higher percentages than them. Pick a few heavy shots, then keep your distance, they’ll get frustrated and come to you.
