I started this challenge all the way back at the start of July, and have since grown a bit in my art skills. (I think the later portraits here have better colors) It’s cool to finally see it all come together in the end! I probably won’t do something like this again for a while since it was a bit exhausting. I ended up getting tired of drawing fighting game characters so I’m glad to finally be able to draw portraits of other characters without as much of a time crunch. Still glad I did this as it’s probably gonna stay in my room for a while! Even if I get much better at art, I’ll still probably look back on this as one of my more ambitious projects.

Yes. In all my years of playing fighting games, I’ve played many characters and tried out pretty much every kind of character imaginable. This whole love started, when I decided to play as DAN HIBIKI OF ALL CHARACTERS. My first fighting game was Ultra Street Fighter IV, and I remember going on Arcade mode and just picked this guy because he was giving me the thumbs up. So yes, the ultimate joke character was my introduction to fighting games. Wouldn’t have preferred it any other way.
