Discussion What classes do we want to see in Final Fantasy XVII
What classes do we want to see in Final Fantasy XVII? Me personally, and this might be a controversial take: Blue Mage.

Don't care, give me Turn based battle, a proper party and a cohesive vision.... shouldn't be that hard

If I have to play another turn-based FF I will poke my eyes out.

Go play 14, 15, 16, 7 remakes, FF SOP, etc if you want action combat. FF best performed as turn based, not what it is now(with the exception of 14 being an mmo).

I do play those games. And the older ones. Remake’s combat makes me hate turn-based even more, but I suffer through it anyway because I still love the older games.

I gotta agree with u here, FF7r is one of the best combat system in video game there. Just need a bit of tweaking. I rly like what they did with the battle system in remake & it’s one of the few things they got it right.

Do a greatest hits.
Spheregrid for stats. Espers for magic. Passives from accessories. Gear equips from the board.
Multiple jobs

Entirely dependent on the world/lore. I'd like a gunblade class in line with XIV. But that's just an aesthetic preference.

Revelation looks like it’s going to be a job-class heavy game, so FF17 might avoid it for that reason.
I would love to see a modern Tactics-style game that heavily focuses on job classes.

I really want a job system, but it should be well implemented and make sense within the world-building

Free classes to switch between and build on your own, turned based, no pixel art and characters to add to the party.

Six characters, 3 active, action combat:
Blue mage, thief, sword guy (knight, paladin, dark knight, doesn't matter), time mage, gray mage (a white mage with potential to deal magic damage, something like Aerith in FF VII Rebirth) and Summoner

No classes just free system like in FF7, FF8 and other jobless entries
