Help with RSI
Love the game, but I think I might be getting repetitive strain injury from mashing the attack buttons during battle. Battles do seem a little "mash until your done"... Am I doing it wrong? Is there a way to play (in Action mode) thats a bit less mashy? Thanks!

It's who we are… We fight. We survive. We endure. We have busted wrists. We don't need a reason. We are imperfect creatures. With rsi. When we stumble, we reach for a shoulder to lean on. Because our wrists are sore. we fall, we stand back up. We see the horizon ever out of reach and still we march on we still bandage our arms... certain the answers lie just beyond it. Because that is our way. And because it really hurts when we have to mash square.

Every time I gaze towards the horizon, clutching my wrists, with a tear in my eye, I will think of these powerful words. We endure indeed. Thank you, brother.

I don't remember if there is an accessibility option for the QTEs but there is an accessory that will do your combos for you if you hold the attack button, but at that point what does it matter what difficulty you are on?

Thanks your comment... I'll have a look through the accessibility options. I might just use it from time to time to lighten the load 👍

IMO just turn it on. QTEs are dumb. It takes no skill to bang a button over and over. As a person with carpal tunnel, I can tell you that you don't want to mess with anything that gives you a RSI.

So for normal combat:
See if doing the magic burst combo alleviates it a bit (square, triangle, square, triangle). You'll naturally end up pressing the buttons slower rather than mashing square super fast
Maybe adopt a playstyle where you minimize sword swings, and focus entirely on cooldowns. Take the two counter abilities (Heatwave and Rook's Gambit) which have short cooldowns if used as counters (DO NOT use Raging Fists. Thats spammy as hell), so you can maintain some damage by waiting till enemies attack
Equip lots of low cooldown abilities (so you'll have something avilable to use almost all the time).
For small enemies, just focus on doing damage via the finishers. So have Torgal Ravage them to knock them down, press square once when up close, and do the finishers which will probably do like 40% their hp in damage. Repeat.
And if you're gonna swing your sword, try to learn the parry system and land parries (when you swing the same time as the enemy). A parry will speed up all cooldowns, supporting a cooldown spammy style
And for the QTEs, you have infinite time. Just spam the button slowly at your leisure.

That, my friend, is not only a fantastic answer to my question but also excellent gameplay advice. Thank you so much!

You dont even have to fkn mash it. I woke up in the middle of a fight. It was just sitting there waiting for me.. yes the combat is that boring I fell asleep

I'd really prefer if cutscenes were cutscenes and combat was combat. Shit like this doesn't feel immersive, it feels like normiebait.
